dead, that by addressing an application to him at.this
City, giving the name and address of the soldier; and
if dean, his represeritatives;_it will receive careful:
and prompt attention.
- Instructions and. Blanks will be immediately re
turned per mail oo the applicant, to be executed and
returned to me at this place. The Warrant, when
received, will be immediately sent per mail to the
proper Jawner ; or if he should prefer receiving mo
ney, I will make sale of his Warrant to the beat ad
vantage for cash, and make no ch6.ge for that Service.
In the event of the death of the soldier, that Must
be mentioned in the letter, .aud the warrant will
issue according to thafollowing rules: First, to his
wife and children, (if he have any.) Second, to his
father; and Third, to-his mother.
Having a son in the Geneial Land Office at Wash
locum, and one in. the 4114 under General Scott,
in Mexico, the Matter would roucive their prompt
