CornT OF QUAIITER SEB9lO59.—We missed our
regular report of the proceedings of Saturday.—
Nothing, however, of any importance was tran
sacted except the sentences of a number of con
'lets. John Leslie, convicted of the larceny of
goods from the store of Harrows & Turner, goes to
the Penitentiary for two years. It is hoped that
this sentence, and a few others, may bleak up a
certain gang of thieves that has, for years, infested
the cities of Allegheny and Pittsburgh.
Over amorous gentlemen—those who play Turk
and love too many—must be on the look out ;
" one of them," Thompson, was sentenced to one
year in the Penitentiary, for having three wives,
which the Jury thought two more than be had any
legal or moral right to possess in a community
like ours. Thompson is not a bad looking man ,
about middle aged, and we learn has considerable
property.

The Three Big Doors VS* The Western
World
150,000 I,VE.LL SELO,IED GARMENTS •
STOW made and ready to be offered on the most
liberal terms to my old customers and the pub
lic in general. The Proprietor of this far famed and
extensive establishment has now, after returning
from the Eastern cities, at much trouble and expense,
lust completed his fall and winter arrangements to
supply his thousands of customers with one of the
most desirable stocks ofCluthing that has ever been
offered in this or any other market west ofthe moun
tains. For neatness in style and . workmanship, com
bined with the very low price which they will be
sold for, must certainly render, the old unrivalled
Three Big Doors one of the greatest_attractioris or
the western country. It is gratifying to me to be
able to announce to my numerous friends at home
and abroad, that notwithstanding the extraordinary
efforts which I have made to meet the Many calla in
my line, itis with difficulty I can keep time with the
constant midi that is made on this popular establish- •
ment. It is a well established fact, that my sales are'
eight or ten times larger than any other house in the
trade, and this being the case on the amount sold, I
can afford to sell at much less profit than others could
possibly think of doing if they wished to cover con-,.
tingent expenses. I intend to make a clean sweep
of all my present stock before the beginning of next'
year; coining to this conclusion, I will make it
interest of ' , every man, who wants a cheap winter
suit, to call and purchase at the Three Big Door's.
