After the thanks of the Convention were tender.
ed to the presiding officers--on their behalf, Vice
President Craft, in returning appropriate acknowl
edginents, embraced the occasion to review the
happy condition of the country, as Rowing from
the measures of its government; and concluded
by wishingthe members and their families peace,
plenty and happiness through life.
On motion of Dr. Wilson, That the thanks of
the Convention be tendered to the Officers.
On motion of R. H. Kerr, Resolved, That the

22d inst. were conveyed sixty-six miles in one

A MAN - who Called himself John Gardner, came
to the Livery stable of the subscriber, on Front
street; on Wednesday morning last, June 23d, and
hired a horse and saddle for half a day, stating that
he wished to ride out_a few milesbeyond East Liberty
and that he would totem by the middle of the 'day.
Since thew! have not heard of the man,or the horse,
and must conclude that Gardner does not intend to
act laic part of an honest than. The horim is a brown
bay, about:l2 years old, and a.natural racker. I will
pay $3O to any person who will.return said horse to
