Seaes Ameritan Renovating
rOR several monthspast, I have been mnoh troub
led with a bilious habit, attended with an inac
tive and costive state of the bowels, and 'rheumatic
affections; I have Made min ofthe Medicated Vipor
Bath, and various kinds of Medicine, without 'receiv
ing any benefit. Seeing Sear's A. H. V. Renovating
Pills advertised,' was induced from the recommen
dations attached to them, to make trial of them.. In
a fel days they afforded me great relief; and in the
short time in which I have taken them, have ex
perienced more benefit from them than 'I have re
ceived from any medicine. Their operation has
been natural, easy, and effectual. Others of my
-family have been indisposed, and have used them,
and received much benefit. I can with with confi
dence recommend them to individuals and families,
as a safe and effectual medicine, in, all cases in
which_ the stomach and bowele are disordered.

Vegetable Pulmonary Salaam.
IN the Winte‘of 1832 and 1833, was.seized with
spitting of blood, which continued with occasion
al relief till spring. I consulted several eminent
physicians and took much medicine, but the relief
obtained was only transient. In the opting I com
menced taking the Vegetable Pulmonary Balsam--
At:this time I was much reduced. The day before
I commenced with the Balsam, I raised- shouts half:
a pint of blood, was oppressed with great. hoarseness
and a bad cough. I commenced takirig' the Balsam
- thinking if this failed I should resort to medicine no
further. But it did not disappoint my expectation.
All the unfavorable symptoms werg i iminediately re
lieved, the cough cured, and I have7not been troub
led with spitting of blood since. lam now - about to
resume my trade, (that of a rope maker,) which I
had given up without any, expectation'f returning
to it.

Scripture is "in the Dlooii is the Life." If it ever be,
comes impure, it may be traced . direetly tp the step,
Page of the irssensible perspiration. Thee we See, all
that is necessary when the blood is stagnant, or itte
fCCICdp is to open the pores, and it relieve& itself from
all impurity instant/y. Its own heat and vitality sic
sufficient, without one particle of medicine, except
to open the perm' upon the surface. Thuctve sea
the folly •of taking so much internal remedies. All
pmctioners, however, direct their efforts to restore
the Insensible Perspiration. The, Thompsonian, for
instance, steams, the Hydropathist almonds us in wet
blankets, the. Homopathist deals out infinitissimals r
the Allopathist bleeds and doses us with mercury,
and the blustering Quack gorges us with pille,p4lu l
pills.
To give mime idea of the amount of tlia insensi.
blo Perspiration, we will state that the learned Dr,
Lewenhock; ascertained that five-eights of all we re•
ceive into the stomach, passed off hy this means: • l
other words, if we eat anti drink • eight pounds per
day, we evacuate five pounds of it by the lasonsiblo
Perspiration. . • .
This is none other than the used up particles of
the blood, and tiler juices giving place to the new
and fresh ones. To check this, therefore, is .to re,
tain in the systegi Sve- - eiehts of all the virulent matter
that nature demands should leave the body.
By sudden transition from heat to colds the pores
are stepped, the perspiration*ases, and disease het
gins at oncetodevclapeitself. Hence, a steppage.c.

It is bvstopping the pores, that overwhehns man
kind with coughs,' colds, and consumption.. Nine
tenths of the world die from diseases•inthmed by:
stoppage of the Insenkible Perspiration.
Let me lisk, now, every candid mind, what course
seems the 'most reasonable to pursue, to unstop the
pores, after they are closed. WOuld you giye physic
to unstop the pores? Dr . lvquld yoh apply something
that would do this upon the suraco, where the clog
ging 'aotually is? And yet I khow of ph physician

there is scarcely a disease, extern.al or internal, that

CONZUMPTION.—It can hardly be credited that a
salve can have any effect Upon.'the lungs, stated as
they are Within the SyStern. but if placed- upon the
chest, it penetrates directly tb the lung.s, seperates
the poisonous particles that are consuming them,
and expels them from the systein. •
