Vegetable Papuonary Balsam.
N the winter of 1532 and 1833, I was seized with
IL spitting of blood, which continued with occasion
al relief till spring. I consulted several eminent
physicians and took much medicine, but the relief
obtained was only transient. In the spring 1 com
menced taking the Vegetable Pulmonary Balsam.—
At this time I was much reduced. The day before
I commenced with the Balsam, I raised about a half
a pint of blood, was oppressed with great hoarseness
ands, bad cough. I ,cominenced taking the Balsam
thinking ilthis failed I should resort to medicine no
further. But it (lid not disappoint my expectation.
All the unfavorable symptoms were immediately re
lieved, the cough cured, and I have not been troub
led with spitting of blood since. lam now about to
resume my trade, (that of a rope maker,) which I
had given up without any expectation of returning
to it.

DR. CHRISTIE'S GALVANIC RINGSIAND MAG
NETIC. FLUID.
T HIS remarkable invention, which stns receivedl. the universal approbation of the medical profes
sion of Great Britain, comprises an entirely new ap
plication of Gal +au - lista, as a remedial agent, by means
of which the ordinary Galvanic Batteries, Electric,
and Magnetic Machines, &c., are entirely dispensed I
with, and the mysterious power of Gal vahism applied
without any of the objections which are:inseparable
from the general mode now in use. Th 4 strong dos
es, and irregular intervals, in which Galvanism is ap-
plied by the Machines, has been pronoudced, after a
fair and impartial trial, to be decidedly injurious, and
it was 4o remedy this radical defect that this new ap
plication was projected, which, after unceasing toil,
and perseverance, has been brought to its present
state ofperfection. The Galvanic Ring{ answer all
the purposes of the most expensive Maehiaes, and
in many other respects are More safe anti certain in
accomplishing the desired effect. I
The Galvanic Rings used in connection with the
Magnetic Fluid, are confidently recommended in all
disorders which arisefrom an enfeebled and unhealthy
state of the nervous or ,vital system, enclitics° com
plaints are among the most painful and universal to
which we are subject. They arise, without exception,
from one simple cause—a derangement of the Nerv
ous System—and it was in these cases that other
'remedies' having so often failed, a new agent was
greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, has
been found in the proper and judicious application
1 .
of Galvanism.
The Galvanic Rings have been used with entire
success in all cases neitHETIMATISM, aeutelor chronic,
applying to the head, face or limbs, Gat Tic-Dolo

OUS DISORDERS. In cases ofconfirmedj yspepsia,
which is simply a nervous.derangement o the diges-,
tive organs, they have been found equally uccessful.
Their extraordinary effects upon the system must be
witnessed to be believed, and as a certait4 reventive

for the preceding complaints they are equ Ilyrecom
mended. The Rings are of different pr ces, being
made °fall sizes, and of various ontamen I patterns,
and can be worn by the most.delicate rem le without
the slightest inconvenience: lii fact, th sensation
is rather agreeable than otherwise.

in some eases of a very severe charader, and of

is required can readily be obtained, and n ;complaint
which the mysterious agent of Galvanisr ,can effect
will flit to be permanently relieved. Th be articles
are adapted to the waists, arms, wrists, lin us, ancles,

The Galvanic Necklaces are used witlvr titer bene
