The Anditors, in the discharge of theinduty,.took
up the accounts for the whole year, commencing
Al ril, 1846, and ending April, 1847.
The Auditors regret to see the ottntla %YETI= con.
tinned the 'espenditure -of the Poor . fund, when,
in every other business, its entire abandoninent has
proved true ecimomy.- It was impossible for the
undersigned to inforth themselves from the bills, ac

every case, the articles Numbed% for the poor were
the most suitable, and at the lowest cash prices.
They find entered in the Auditors Book, a- report

This report makes Mr. Ashbridge's account bal
ance*' allowing him eaCCI for nine months services.
This allowance, the undersigned think unjust to the
other Overseer or the Poor, Mr. Chapman, whose
salary we have, flied at BGOII for the whale year.—
The $l3O difference between 'what we 1121Ve allowed
Mr. A.. and what "Was allowed in the above report, I
forms part of the balance against him. The re
maining portion of thu balance, $ll6 38, has been
paid by hini, through Mr. Hill, to the Guardiads of
the Poor. It wag a - mistake in the, figures, not noti ,

The charge of Oh in Mr.. Ashbridge , s account; is
in addition to a charge ora like smut made by the:

The present Auditors have charged for their ser
