Luligs as DR. RPGERS? LIVERWORT 'and - TAR
has made in this city or any 'other place where it has
been introduced. Although it has not been puffed
in the city papers in EDIrORIAI. FORM by the
PROPRIETOR far the SOLE purpose of GAIN,-(as
most medicines are without regard to their Worth)
yet the demand has been enormous. In the city of
Dayton alone, where this medicine has not been ad
vertised to the amount of ten dollars, we received
an order from Mcssis. 'Ells, Chitin S. Co. to the
amotint of one TnotisAND BOTTLES. And this
too, in the summer season, when•there is compara
tively little or no demand ibr mediciee'of this char
acter.
in - This medicine still performs CURES that seim
almost incredible, but as they arc here; and are our.
own neighbors whose testimony can he had from their
own mouths, it 'must convince the most sceptical of
the worth of this medicine.
Another REMAREABLI% care of COF-IMP
TION. Mr. Gabriel Whitehead, of this city, was
reduced so low that ALL HIS FRIENDS, and even
his PHYSICIANS had given hint up to DIE!.!.!
Ma. A. L. Scovnt..---As I owe my life to the use
of DR. ROGER'S LIVERWORT and TAR, I feel it
a duty, and shall without fear or delicacy give my
testimony as evidence that others who may be afflic
ted with CONSUMPTION Or , diseased Lungs may
know that this medicine is NI) HUMBUG, •but is
worth ton thousand physicians , prescriptions for the'
disease for which it is recommended.
Last summer I was - taken with a most DISTRES
SING COUGH, and about the first ofJuly my.Ltings
i were so diseased that I bled in a short time neveml
quarts of blOod, which reduced me So low that all
my friends, and even my physicians thought I must
soon DIE with CONSUMPTION. My brother, how
ever, heard of some of the wonderful cures made by
this medicine, and procured a bottle, and before
I had taken one halfbottle, it seemed to go to the very
I seat of the'disedse and mired a LARGF. QUANTITY
la MATTER and PIT LEGAS and my COUGH was
I stopped by a dorm. I have since used some two or
three bottles; and am now able to attend to my busi
ness as Nell as es er.
I-feel veifthankftd to the inventor of this medicine,
for if it had not been for some all onweifiil medicine
to have raised the matter and phlegm, and healed my j
lungs,! should without, doubt have now been in my I
grove.
If any one will call on me nn Catharine street, half;

OU R years ago last August, the capital of prance
r was astonished in, consequence of a discovery
made by an Italian Chemist. Many do uhted—i t seem=
cd almost •an impossibility that any thing made by
the hands of man, could hate each. singular powers
as that claimed by ANTO4IIO VESIIII2I/ for his inven
tion. Many classed hiM and his invention as a hum
bug, (and, alas! many foolish persons without trying,
do the same now;) at length, after testing it in the
hospitals, the Medical. Society of Paris, (the best
chemists in the world) delivered the following report
to Signor Vcsprini: •
• "We have new minutely and carefully examined
the singular invention OfTesprini. We have analyz
ed its component parts--we have used it in several
cares, and we hesitate not to pronounce it (The
Italian Chemical Soap) as a great blessing, and a
truly wonderthl remedy for any cutaneous eruption
or disfigurement of the skin. Ifs inventor W(LC011-
sickr the true philanthropist of suffering mankind.
(Signed) LiippoLp DUPItEY, Pres."
Then comes the report of the "Societe do Plnsti
tote,'' of scientific experiments:
4-. 4 We are astounded,•' excla int s th e aged president :
'at this singular preparation—Vesprini's Italian
Chemical Soap I Where, indeed, will science stop!
Uere we have a preparation, made in the num of a
beautithl piece of soap, which we know by actual
practice, to cure every cutaneous eruption, every
disfigurement of, and even discolored skin ! Where
will its magic and singular power cease 1 The Ne
gro, the Creole, the Yellow Race of the East, and
the Red Man ofthe Far West, are alike under the in
fluence of its extraordinary 'powers of clearing' yel
low or discolored skin, and make it white and beau
tiful, and of changing the color of dark, or black, or
brown skin." (litre se - oral persons Were brought
Ibrward by the president, whohad used it, in proof
of his assertions.)

THIS
,remarkable invention, which has received
I the universal approbation- of the medical profes
sioit 'of Great Britain, comprises an entirely new op
plicatien of Galvanism, as a remedial agent, by ineana
of which' the' ordinary Galvanic flatteries, Electric
and Magnetic Machines, Sec., are entirely dispensed
with', and the mysterious power of Galvanism applied
without any of the objections which are inseparable
from the general mode now in use. •The strongdos

ea and irregular intervals, in which Gal van ism. is ap
plied by the Machines, hes been pronounced, alter a
thir.ind impartiaFtrial, to be decidedlyinjurious, and
it w4s Ye. remedy this radical defectthatthis neweap
plicitticin wiaprojected, which, alter unceasing toil,
slid perseverance; has been brought to its present
state of perfection. The Galvanic Rings - answer all
the purposes of the most expensive Machines, and
in many other respects are more safe and certain in
accomplishing the desired effect.
The Gatranie Rings used in connection with the
Magnetic Fluid, are confidently recommended in all
disorders which arisefront an enfeebled and unhealthy
state of the nervous or vital system;and these com
plaints are among the most painful -and universal to
which weare subject. They arise, without exception,
froin•one simple cause—a derangement of the Nerv
ous System—and it was in these eases Chit other
'remedies , having so often failed, a new agent W2'.3
greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, has
been found in the proper and judicious application
of Galvanism. ' ,
The Galvanic Rings have been used with entire'
success in all cases of Rithel , LATIS3l, acute'or chronic,
applying to the head, face or limbs, Gout, Tic-Dolo

which is simply a nervous derangemeritfof the die ' na-

and can be worn by the most de - haste female without
the slightest inconvenience. I I fact, the sensation

In some cases of a very severe character, and. of
long standing, the power as applied by the Galvanic
Rings is not sullicientto\ arrest the progress oftlisease•
and ulttinately restore health. Theimpreved modi

ly remedies this objection; any degree of Power that
is required can readily be obtained, and no complaint
which the mysterious agent of Galvanism. can effect
will fail to be permanently relieved. - 'These articles
are adapted to the waists, arms, wrista, limbs, alleles,
or any part of the body, with perfect convenience.
The Galvanic Necklet:caeca used with greater bene
fit ill eases of Bronchitis or affections of. the-throat
generally; also in cases of Nervo'us . Dafnesa; and
with almost uniform success as a preventi've for Apo
plexy, Epileptic Fits, and similar complaints.
Chrlstic's Macneill. Plaid -- : ..,_
is used in connection with the Galvanic Rings and
all their mutlificatiens. 'This composition has been
pronounced by the French Chemists to no' one of the
moat extraordinary diacovcries al modern science. It
is believed to possess the • remarkable power ef yen-,
Bering the nerves helllieie4.' to galvanic action; by this
means causing a concentration of the intluence j at the
seat of diee.ase, thes giving rapid and permanent:se
lief. No other corapee;tion in chemistry is known to
, produce the same effect, or to impart a similar pro
pony to the . ribrvous s) stem, by means ofzin outward
local application. The Magnetic Fluid contains noth
ing capable of the slightest injury; its application is
agreeable, and it is as harmless in its. action as it is
beneficial in its results. Full explanatiora tend dircic

every way perfectly harmless; they are sold at prices
within the reach of all and the discoverer only re

and permanent benefit. .

These articles form another valuable application
Ofthe mysterious influence ef Galvanism. They are
an important adjunct to the genuine Galvanic Rings
and their modifications, acting upon the same princi

or chronic; in all nervous complaints, and as a posi
tive remedy in cases of Pairs and Weakness in the
Chest or Back, Pain in the Side,in Amalie A f fect ions,
and in IVeakitess cr Oppression of the Pulmonary Or

most decided character, and they have often been
used with complete success. They are also of the
greatest advantage in Pains and Weakness of the
lßreast, and arc highl y recommended for many of those
complaints to which femalesttre especially liable.. As
an effectual means for strengthening the system when
debilitated with disease or. other causes; as a certain

source of complaint with the ordinary plasters in.
common use.
