'Each cable to be of one hundrei anti fifty fathetaii:
• Allot the said , iron must be entirely of American
manufacture, of the beatrinality, free from admtiture
of foreign iron. It must be hammered from blooios
into rough bans. That for the links musttheo be cut,
piled, and rolled to about• an inch in thickness;
then again cut, piled end rolled to the required ides,
and cut to the required lengths. Thai portion for
