the same, That the pro vistons of the act of the sth
of 'May, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-two,
en(a!ed an act regulating lateral railroads,. and the
supplement thereto passed the twenty eighth day of
:tl.irch, nay thousand eight hundred and forty, be and
the same is hereby extended to the counties of Dau
phin, Allegheny, Dedthrd, Blair and Washington, and
shall be so Collsaued as to authorize the construction
of lateral railroads either under or over the surface of
any intervening lands subject to the restrictions of the

All of the said iron must be entirely - Of Ainerican,
manufacture, or the best quality, freeltotn maritime'

into rough bars.- That for the link, most then be cut;
piled, and rolled to about an inch in thickness;
then again cut, piled and-rolled to the required idles,
and cut to the required lengths. That portion 'for
the shackles, swivels, beim', and pins ' must all be wrought under the hammer to sizes andshapes which

must be delivered in straight lengths, free from all
flaws, ragged ends, or edges, or other detects, sub.

and be in all respects to the entire satisfaction of the
commandant of the said navysyard, or chief of
bureau, or it will not be received, nor will any be,
subject to test and proof, unless satisfactory evidence
is produced to the commandant of the yard that it
has been manufactured as herein required.
The quant for one-third of all the different sized
cables must be delivered on orbefore the fifteenth
day of August next; for another third of all said ca.
bins, on or before the first day of December next,
and the remainder on or before the first day of May,

Persons desirous of offering to furnish the said iron
