contains Precise information as to the location or
each mine, and shows, that in 1830, the lead mines
of Illinois. lowa. and Wisconsin, though-only par
tially worked, produced upWardsof . thirty millions
pounds isf lead, of which thbke in. Wisconsin it
appears, yielded the larger proportion; and further, .
that the whole district, if Properly mined, would
:yield one hundredv and fifty millions pounds per
