Wereas . , In pursuance of the second section off
an act of the general assembly, "Entitled an act tol
authorize the Court of Quarter Sessions of Alleghe
ny County, to vacate Delaware Lane in said county,
and-for other purposes, passel the third Jay of April,
1846," power was delegated to the Select and Com
mon Councils of the City of Pittsburgh, to deter-;
'min; the Southern line of Coal at., now Webster rt.,
betwlin and Fulton sts. Therefore,

citizens of PitiSburgh in Select and Common Council
assembled, that the southern line of Webster st.,
-between Elm - and Fulton eta, shall be and Ras here
by permanently fixed, as fidlows: Beginning at a
point in the Eastern line of Elm st, at the distance
of one hundred and nixie feet two and 1 inches north
' %vanity from the intersection of Wide alloy with
Elm et. And thence running eastw4dl f i, by a
course parallel to, and fifty feet diStant roar the
north line.of Webster at., (as located by the plans ofl

the City District,) topoint in the western line of
Townsend alley, one hundred and eight fee - Six and,
a half inches, northwardly from Wide alley. And'
thence to a point in the western line of Fulton St.,

dart' of all lots on the southern side of Webster st,
between Ehn st. and Fulton st., which previous to
the passage'of this ordinance were bounded by Coal
Lane, shall forever thereafter be beirnded by, and
front on Webster at., as located by section first of
this ordinance.
Sec. 3. Be it further enacted, &c., That the i plan
of Webster at. mnde by the. Recording new:Water,
' bearing trate November 25, 1846, descriptive of the
southern line of Webster st. be, and, the same is .
hereby approved, and that the clerks of Councils
be, and ticy ere hereby directed to certify on said
plan its aproval by Councils,

thereof Recorded in the office for Recording Deeds,
Ste.; and the plan furnished by the Recording Reg
tutor, kept in his or his successor's office.

of Webster et., between Elm at. and Fulton st.,
shall neglect or refuse to grade and MeAdamize Web

and to the grade of said st. as fixed by the ordinace

one year from the date of the passage of this ordi
