the Second Regiment, are bright indeed. His own
cornpany'Will support him to a man; and the Totes
of the Pittsburgh and Cambria county Volunteers
- will assuredly be cast for him.
No candidate whose name has been announced
presents stronger claims than Capt. Roberts. He
is amply qualified to command the Regiment- 7 .
this is acceded by all who know him. He has had
years of experience in military affairs; he is an`,
excellent tactician. And he is, withal, one of those
who will be respected by the Volunteers for his
amiable and gentlemanly deportment. If elected,
he will lead: sin the Second Pennsylvania Regi-
ment to battle, to glory and to victory!
