Sir: Having been cured of a very severe diseaSe

to send You the following certificate:
1 hereby certify that I was severely afflicted one
year ago last winter, with inflamed sore eyes and a
very severe pain in my head from my eyes up to the
top of my head, and continued so for several weeks.
My eyes were so much inflamed and sore that I
could not see to attend any business, nor could I tell
one object from .another a few yards from me. I
called in a. physician, but still got worse. I also
tried a good many remedies that had cured others;
but in my Case they failed. In April, 1845, I heard
of the American Oil. I procured a bottle, and be
fore I had used a half a bottle I was entirely well,
and still continue so. I will not be without it in my
house as lung as I cariget the genuine article. I also
gave it to one of my men - that was working for me,
that had the tenor in his bands so bad that when he
would grip anything tight in them the flood-would
burst out, and the use of half a bottle cured us both.
I would advise all, that ate afflicted in any way to
give the Oil a fair trial, and I think they • will be
pleased with the effect itwill Lade,

plication of Galvanism, as a remedial.agent, by means
of which the ordinary Galvanic Batteries,Electrie
and Magnetic Machines, &c., are entirely dispented
with, and the niysterionspower of Galvanism applied
without any of the objections which are inseparable
from the general mode now in use. The strong:dos
es, and irregular intervals, in which Galvanism is ap
plied by the Mischines, hasteen prcinounced; after a
fair and impartial trial, to be decidedly injur toss and
it was to remedy this radical defecfthat this new ap--
plication was projected, which, after Unceasing toil;
and perseverance, has becii brought to its present
state of perfection. The Galvanic Rings answer all
i thePurposesior the. most expensive Machines, and
in many tither respects are more safe and certain in
I accomplishing the desired effect.
The Galvanic Rings' used in connection with the
Magnetic Raid, are confidently recommended in'all
disordeta which arisefrom an enfeebled and unhealthy
state of thenervous or vital system, and these com
plaints are among the most painful- and universal to
which we are subject. They arise, without exception,:
from one simple cause—a derangement of the Nerv 7
ous System—,and it was in these cases that other
'remedies' having so often failed, a new, agent was
greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, hasi
been fohnd•iii - the proper and judicious-application
of Galvanisin. ,
The Galvanic Rings have been used with entire
success in all cases of Ritxuarszint, acute or chronic,
applying to the head, face or !helm; Gout,' nc-,Dolo-;

Their eatraordinary elfecfs'iipon the system must he

for the preceding-complaints they are equally recom:
mended. .The Rings are of different. prices, being
niadeefall sizes, and of various ornamental patterns;
• and can be worn by the most delicate fenthle without
the slightest inconvenience. In fact, the sensation
is rather agreeable than otherwise.

In some cases of a very severe character, and of
long standing, the power as applied by the Galvanie
Rings is not sufficient to arrest the progress ofdisease
and ultimately restore health. The improved modi.;
ficationin the Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, &c., entire
ly remedies this objection; any degree of power that
is required can readily be obtained, and 'nci complaint
which the - mysterious agent of Galvanism can elfect
will Gil to he permanently relieved. These articles,
are adapted to the waists, arms, wrists, limbs, anclesi
or nay part of the body, with perfect convenience;
The Galvanic Necklaces are used with ereater bent -
tit in caves of Bronchitis or affections of the throat
generally; also in cases of Nervous Deafness; and
with almost uniform success as a preventive for Apo-,
„Fit, and similar complaints.
Christle's Magnetic Fluid
is used to connection with the Galvanic flings and
,all their modifications. This composition has been
pronounced by the French Chemists to of one of thd
I,most extraordinary discoveries et - modern science. It
is believed to possess the remarkable power of ren...
tie nerves sensitive to galvanic action by thiS
means causing a concentration of the iniluence, at the
seat of disease, thus giving- rapid and permatne - nt
' No other composition in chemistry is known to
produce' the same effect, or to impart a aiitiilar pro,

agreeable, and it Ivan harmless. in its action ash ii
beneficial in its results. Full explanations and direc; 7

most decided character,' and they have...often been'
lused with complete success. They are also- of the
greatest advantage in Pains and Weakness of the

Prepared by Dr. George Bennett, of New York
rEMIE unprecedented 'Meech that has attended the
A." use of these pills in the practice of the proprie
tor Ter the last six or eight years, has induced him
to yield to the importunities of many who have used
and been benefitted by them, Ad make ariange
ments to•place them. within the reach of the public
generally. Its doing so be feels called.upon to say
that the Indian Vegetable Restorative Pills is deci
dedly superior to any with which he is acquainted.
They combine the properties of many of the best
vegetably medicines (used. in no other pills) in such
mannct as to afford riot. only immediate atid tem
porary but permanent relief.
The valuable tonic which enters into their com
position, by their action upon the iiecretery organs
bold in check the purgative principle, and induce a
gentle and natural operation, without incouvezionce
or pain, and while they restore a natural and healthy
action of the stomach, liver and bowels, they in
crease instead.of diminishing the strength of the pa
tient. The general opinioh that a powerful and vio
lent purgative is necessary is founded in error;- they
in general irritate the stomach and bowels, drange
the secretions, and arc productive of very serious
eonsequenees, and it should be known that the g roat
mass of pills in general use-are composed of the
most powerful and irritating purgatives, and act with
too great a degree of violencg, producing that de
, rangetneut in the system that is followed by con
stigation of the bowels, indigestion and costiveness.
From them facts the natural inference would be
that to maintain uniform health Wig necessary to
correct unhealthy secretions, expel morbid - humors
and purify the system, by the use of a medicine that
Will act efficiently yet mildly, assist instead of de
ranging the organs of the system, and thus, bring na
ture in its proper and healthy channel, to accomplish'
Which no medicine is'superior to the Indian Vegeta
ble Restorative Pills; their operation is, in ordinary
doses, to promote a natural and easy evacuation,"and
it the-same time by their tonic 'property impart vigor
and health to the system, but when a powerful and
speedy operation is necessary, it willbe accomplish
ed by increasing the dose, which May be done with

Of families, travelers and seamen; they cleanse• the

male complaints—and in one wonl, all diseases aris

particuhr cases might be added, but the proprietor
prefers presenting a few cenificates of their general.
elaracter, from persons of unquestionable candir
and veracity, who would not in any degree lend their
influence to promote anything that is not of decided
utility, and rely upoh their intrinsic merits to gain
them a reputation,fueling a perfect confidedee-that
none will abandon their use who give them a fair
trial.
Heads of families should always keep a qtiantity
of Dr. Osborne's Indian Vegetable Restorative Pills
In the house; they never fail. For those who ore
subject to_ ts, headache, giddiness, dimness of sight
or drowsiness arising from too great a flow of blood
