DR. CHRISTIE'S GALVANIC. RI - Nos AND MAG
'NI:TIC FLUID.
THIS
remarkable invention, which has received
e universal approbatiOn of the'reedical profes
sion of Great Britain, comprises.an entirely . neWitp
plication.of Galvanism, as a remedial agent, by means
of which the ordinary Galvanie Batteries, Electric
and Magnetic Machines, are entirely dispensed
with, and the mysterious power of Galvanism applied
without any of the objections which are inseparable
from the, general mode now use. Tha strongdoie
?
es and irregular intervals, in which Galvanismitt op-
plied lay the MaChines, has been picinounced, titter s
tair and impartial, trial, tobe decidedly injurious, and
it was to remedy this radical defect that this new ap
-1 plication was.projected, whiCh, after unceasing toil,
and perseverance, has been brought to its present
state ofperfection. The Galvanic Rings answer all
the purposes of the meat expensive Machines, and
in many other reveal) are more safe and . certain in
accomplishing the desired effect., .
The Galvanic Rings used in connection With the
Magnetic Fluid, are confidently recommended in all
disorders which grisefrom an enfeebled and unhealthy
slate elf the nervous or vital system, and these com
plaints are among the most painful and universal to
which we are subject. They arise, without exception,
from one simple cause--7a derangement of the New-1
0118 System—and it was in these cases that other ,
(remedies' having so often failed, a new agent was
greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, has'
been found in the proper and judicious application
of Gelianism. •
The Galvanic Rings have been used with entire
success in all cases of Rsimmaxtsm, acute or chronic,
applying to the head, Ince or limbs, Gout, Tic-Dolo
rear, -Toothache, Bronchitis, Vertigo, Nervous Stek
Headache; Indigestion, Paralysis, Palsy, Epilepsy,
Fits _Cramp, Palpitations of the Heart,-'Apoplexy,
Stiness of Joints, Spinal Complaints,Lumbago
Neuralgia, Nervous Tremors, Dizziness of the Heal,
pain in the Chest and Side, General Debility, Deficien
cy aJ Nem= and Physical Energy,' and all NERV
OUS DISORDERS. In crises olcontirmed Dyspepsia,
which is simply a nervous derangement of the -diges
tive organs, they have been Arend equally successful.
Their extraordinary effects upon the system Must be
witnessed to be belies e.d and as a certain preventive
for the preceding complaints they are equally recom
mended. The Rings are of different prices, being
made of all sizes, and of various ornamental Patterns,
and can be worn by the most delicate femald without
the slightest inconvenience. In tact, the Sensation
is rather agreeable than.otherwise.
The 'Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, Bands,
Garters, Necklaces, &c.
In some cases of a very severe character, and of
long star ping, the power as applied by the Galvanic
Rings is not sulTitient to arrest the progress of disease
and ultimately restore health. The improved modi
fication in the Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, tem, entire
ly remedies this objection; any degree of power that
is required can readily be obtained, and no complaint
which the mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect
will fail to be permanently relieved. These articles
are adapted to the waists, arms, wrists, llinba, ancles,
or any part of the body, with perfect convenience.
The Galvanic Neeklaeceareesed with greater bene
fa in cases of Bronchitis or affections of the throat
geuehally; also in eases of_Nervous Deafness; and
with almost uniform success as a preventiVe for Apo
' plexy, Epileptic Fits, and similar complaints.
Christie's Magnetic Fluid
is used in connection with the Galvanic-Rings and
all their modifications. This composition has been
pronounced by the. French Chemists to ire one of the
most extraorilmary discoveries of modern science. It
is believed to possess the remarkable power of rill
-1 Bering the nerves sensitive to galvanic action by this
means causing a concentration of the influence, at the
seat of disease, thus giving rapid and permanent re
-1 lief. No ether composition in cheiriistry is known to
produce the same effect, or to impart a similar pro:.
petty to the nervonsa) stem, by means of an outward
local application. The Magnetic Fluid contains noth
ing capable of the slightest injury; its application is
agreeable, and it is as harmless in its action as it is
beneficial in its results: Full explanations and direc
tion; accompany it. The combined inventions are in
every way perfectly harmless; they are sold at prices
within the reach of all and the discoverer only re
quests a fair trial as a test of their surprising efficacy
and permanent benefit.

These articles term another valuable application
of the mysterieus influence of Gal vanisni. They are
an important adjunct to the genuine Galvanic Ringo
WWI their modifications, acting upon the same princi
ple, but having, the advantage of more local appliea-
Bon. They arc confidently recommended as a vale
abletiddition in the speedy cure ofltlicumatistn, acute
or chronic; in all nervous complaints, and as n paid.
tive remedy in cases of Pet,, and Weakness in the
Chest or Back, pain in the Side, in climatic Affections,
and in Weakness or Oppression of the_Pulnumary Or
gans; In Spinal Complaints their effects are of the
most decided character,. and they have often been
used with complete Success. They are also of the
greatest advantage in Pains and Weakness of the
Breast, and are highly recommended ter many of those
complaints to which females are especially liable. As
an effectual means for strengthening the systein when
debilitated with disease or otber causes; as a certain
aid in Constitutional Weakness, as a Preventive of
Colds, and in all affections of the Chest, generally,
the Galvanic Strengthening Plaster will be found of
great and pennaneit advantage. In a few words; it
embraceti all the virtues of the best tonic preparation,
with the important addition of the galvanic influence,
which is neither impaired nor exhausted, while the
attion.centlrmes. These articles will be found entire
ly free from those objections which are a constant
source of complaint with the ordinary plasters in
common use.

Dr. Osborne's Indian 'Vegetable Restor
. sttice Pills..
Prepared by Dr. GeorgeDennett, of New York city.
/VILE unprecedented success that has attended the
j_ use ofthesePills in the practice of the.proprie
tor fur the last six or eight years, has induced him
to yield to the importunities of many who have used
and been benefitted by, them,- and make arrange
ments to place them-within the reach of the public
generally. In doing so he 'feels called upon to say
that the Indian Vegetable Restorative Pilli is deci
dedly superior to any with which he is acquainted.
They combine the properties of ninny of the best
vegetable medicines (used in no other pills) in such
a manner as to afford not only immediate and tem
porary but permanent relief.
The valuable tonic which .enters into- their com
position, by their action upon the secretory organs
hold in check the purgative principle, and induce a
gentle and natural operation; without inconvenience
or pain, and while they restore a natural and healthy
action of the stomach, liver and bowels,' they in
crease instead of diminishing the strength of the pa
tient. The,general opinion that a powerful and vio
leut purgative is necessary is founded in error; they
in eeneral irritate the stoesacli.and bowels, derange
the secretions, and are productive of very serious
conserpiences, nuff it should be known that the great
mass of pills in general use are composed of the
most powerful and irritating purgatives, and act with
too great a - deg,ree of violence, producing that de
rangement in the system that is followed by con
*ligation of v
the,,Eels, indigestion and coativeneu.
From these theta Ne natural inference Ny ou Id be
that. to maintain uniform health it is necessary to
correct unhealthy secretions, expel-morbid humors
and purify the system, by the use of a tnedicine that
will act efficiently yetzdililly, assist instead of de
ranging the organs of e system, and thus, bring nay
cure in Its proper rind healthy channel, to ace-omenA,
which no medicine is superior to the. Indian Vegeta
ble Restorative Pills; their operation is, in ordinary
doses, to promotel,a natuniland easy evacuation, and
at the same time by their. tonic property impart vigor
And health to theLsystetn, but when a. powerful and
1
speedy operation is necessary, it will be aocomplish
ed by increasing the dose, whichteaf be done with
i perfect safety, as they nre'entirely Vegetable. -
They hate been used as a family. medicine for
years- by ninny of the first respectability, hail altho'
they are not recommended to " - heal all the ills'
that flesh is heir to;" yet it has becnlound very rye
that it has been found necesiary for those ueinithem
toemploy any other mediiide, and their occasional
use will almost invariably prove an effectual previa
tive to disease. They arc exactly adapted to the use
offiunlies, travelers and seamen; they cleanse the
blood, causing a free circulation—open thi obstruc
tions and promote the secretions of healthy bile, and
consequently arc an excellent medicine for nausea,
indigestion, nervous disorders, dejection, liver corn- 1
plaint, pains in the head, side and breast, costive
ness, loss.of appetite, urinary obstructions, ague and
. fever, bilious and intermittent fever, dysentery, rheu
matism, scorfula, and arc eminently useful in all fe
male complaints-r-and in one word, all diseases aris
ing Conn unhealthy secretions and impruity of the
blood. Numerous testimonials of their elficacy.in
particular cases Plight be added, but the, proprietor
prefers presenting a few certificates of their general
character,. from [ persons of unquestionable cando •
and veracity, who would not in'auy degree lend their
influence to promote anything that is not of decided
utility, and rely upon their' intrinsic multi to gain
them a reputation, feeling a perfect confidence that
wine will abandon their use who give them a fair
trial. 1 .
Heads of families should' always keep a quantity
of Dr. Osborne'' ludiariVegotable Restorative Pills
in the house; they never fail. For those' who are
subject to tits, headache, giddiness, dimness of sight
or drowsiness arisiug from too great a floW of blood
to the head, should take these pills in preference to
anything else, as they are asure remedy.

A. Truly, Wonderful Curet
Dr. SWAIVE: .Dear Sir--LnOctober 10.4, 3 ,7vhi1e en
gaged with Mr. Joseph Smith, in 'a saw mill, near
.Waynesburg, I was attacked with a cough, Dom be
ing expened•at night, which giadually inereised, at
tended with Spitting ofblood and a severe pain in t h e
breant, lostof appetite, fever, &c. Ike., which wars
scarcely suppOttable. I had a family who were
wholly dependent on my exertions for support, yet
was obliged to leave my business and return home.
I was then attended by several Physicians, both still
grew worse, until my medical attendants gave me up
as incurable. Subsequently, my wife observing in
one of the public prints, an advertisement of Dr.
Swaynes Compound Syrup of Wild. Cherry, protur
ed me one bottle from-Francis M , Clure, your agent
in Lewistown, which relieved me. I continued until
I had taken five bottles. lam now able to return to
my work again. I write this to offer you my sincere
thanks, and you are at liberty,to make It known,,sq

CONSUMPTION, which has baffled the skill 'ar
eminent Medical practi.iooers, where invalids hay&
been given up hopeless, by having recourse to,-and'
persevering in, this unequalled remedy, have been'
radically cured. There are now in'the hands of the
proprietor 'numerous certificates of cures, which'
would astonish credulity itself, were they made
known to the world. To those who arc afflicted
with any of the above diseases,' we say, give' this
medicinert fair trial; you will then be convinced this
is no miserable compound, but a safe and powerful
remedy, and that its curative powers 'stand alone fed
equalled by none. . .
Dr. Swaynevi Syrup is the only true and genuine
article of \Vild Cherry before the public,' and vie
would say to ,i,lle afflicted, always look for the writ
ten signature ofDr. SWAYNE on each bottle belbre
your purchase. Beware, and be not deceived
Some persons may tell you that some other prepi
ration is as good. Heed them not. One trial of the
genuine Dr. Swayne's Syrup of wild Cherry will con
vince you that it is the most valuable medicine dis
covered.
From the increasing demand for the above article,
Druggists, Merchants, and dealers generally,. will
find it to their advantage to have a full supply of thii
valuable medicine. Remember to enquire- for DR.

TILE WILSON PILLS, 'as a remedy peeells:fly
adapted for headaches and dyspeptic alfeetions,
are pretty. .generally known and esteemed in - this
community; and the proprietor, so often as be has
occasion to write or speak of them, can searcelyse
frain from an expression of his grateful ticknowledttr

to him. Ilia feelings are the warmer from Observing
the 'tbeginning and the ending"—thrown almost in
juxtaposition;- , of so many nostrums and kindred pro
parations equally' loud in their pretensions, and,
much more industriously presented to the publiq,
while his preparation noiselessly advances, even to
remote places, soothing and comforting the afflicted,
and' permanently grafting itself upon the affections
of new friends, thus continually widening the ,circle

the idea of putting them on stile for M'Sney, and atln
