Sir: Having been cured - of a very severe disease

I hereby. certify that 1 was severely afflicted one

My eyes were so much inflamed and sore that 1

called in a physician, but still got worse. I also
tried a good many remedies thitt had cured others;

remarkable invention, winch, has received.
T the universal approbation of the medical profes
sion cif Great Britain, compriies an entirely new ap
plication of Galvanism, as a remedial agent, by means
of which the ordinary Galvanic Batteries, Electric
and Magnetic Machines, &c., are entirely dispensed
with, land the mysterious power of Galvanism applied
without any of the objections which are inseparable
from the general mode nevi in use. The strong dos
es, and irregular intervals, in which Gal vanism.isrip
plied by the Machines, has been pronounced, after a
fair and impartial trial, to be decidedly injurious, and
it was to remedy this radical defeet that this new ap
plication was projected, which; after unceasing toil,
and perseverance,' has been brought to its present
state lofperfection. The Galvanic "Rings answer all
the p rposes of the most expensive Machines, and
in many other respects are more safe and certain in
accomplishing the desired effect.
The Galvanic Rings used in connection with the
Magnetic Fluid, are confidently recommended in all,
disorders which arisefrom an enfeebled and tad:en/thy
statenf the nervous or vital system, and these com
plaiitts are among the most painful and rmiversal to
which we are subject. They arise, without exception,
from, one simple cause—a derangement of the Nerv
ous System_—and it was in these eases that other
'remedies' having swollen failed; n. new agent was
greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, has
been found in the, proper and judicious ,application
of. Galvanism: • • '• •-•- •
The Galvanic Rings have been used with entire
1 success in all cases of RHEUMATISM, acute or chronic,
applying to the head, face or limbs, Gout, Tic-Dato-1
reur, toothache, Bronchitis, Vertigo, Nervous Sick:
Headache, Indigestion, Paralysis, Palsy, -Epilepsy,'
Fits, Cramp, -Palpitations of the Heart;- Apoplexy,
Stil l ness of Joints, Spinal CoMplaints, Lianbago,
Neuralgia, Nervous Tremors,Dirziness ofthe Head,
pain' in the Chest and Side,.General Debility, Dtfiden
cy of Nervous and Physical Energy; and all NEWT
-1 OILS DISORDERS. In cases, ofcontirmed Dyspepsia,
which is simply a nervous derangement of the diges
tive 'organs, they have been found equally successful.l
1 1 Their extraordinary effects upon the system insist be'
witnessed to be believed, and as a certain preventive,
for the preceding complaints they aro equally recom
-1 mended. The Rings are of different priCes, being
made ofall sizes, and of various ornamental patterns,l
and can be worn by the most delicateibmale without
the ;slightest incenvenience. 'ln fact, the'sensatiod
is rather agreeable than otherwise. -
The Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, Bands,!
Garters,
.Bechltsces,
IA some cases of a very severe character, and of
longstanding, the power as applied by the Galvanic
Rings is not sufficient to arrest the progress ofdisease
and ]ultimately restore health. The improvedmodi-'
fication in the Galvanic'Belts, Bracelets, &c., entire
ly remedies this objection; any degree of power that
is required can readily be obtained, and no complaint
which the mysterious agent of Galvanism can.effect,
wiUlfail to be permanently relieved. These articles
are adapted to the waists, arms, wrists, limbs, andeer
or apy part of the body, ;with perfect convenience.
The Galvanic Necklaces are used with greater bene
fit in cases of Bronchitis Or affections of the throat
generally; also in cases of Nervous Deafness; and
with almost uniform success as a preventive for Apo
plc y, Epileptic Fits, and, sinillar complaints.
Christie's Magnetic Fluid
is used in connection with the Galvanic Rings and
all their modifications. This composition has teen
pronounced by the French Chemists to tie oneof the
most extraordinary discoveries of modern science: 4 qt
is believed to possess the remarkable power of ten
dering the nerves sensitive to galvanic action by this
meins causing a concentration of the influence, at tlie
sea of disease, thus giving rapid and permanent fe
lied No other composition in chemistry is known to
prolluce the same effect, or to impart a similar pro
perty to the nervous system, by means of an outward
local application. The Magnetic Fluid contains noth
ing 'capable Tor the slightest injury; its application is
agreeable, and it is as harmleSs in its action ash is
beneficial in its results. Full explanations and direc-
Sors accompany it. The combined inventions are in
every way perfectly harmless; they are sold at prices
within the reach of all anit the discoverer only re
queSts a fair trial as a test of their surprising efficacy
and permanent benefit.

most decided character, and they have often been
used with complete success. They arc also of the
greatest advantage in Pair . and Weakness of the

an effectual means for strengthening' the system when

lIPHE tinpreeedented success thit has attended the
I use of these pills in the practice of the proprie
-
for for the last six or eight years, has induced blot
to yield to the importunities of many who have used
and been benefitted by them, and make arrange.
meats to place them within the reach of the public
generally. In doing so he feels called upon to say
that the Indian, Vegetable Restorative Pills is deci- -
dedly superior to any with which he is acquainted.
They combine Ole properties of many of the best
vegetable medicines (used in no other pills) in such
a manner as to afford not only immediate and tem
porary but permanent relief.
The valuable tonic which 'enters into their com
positiOn, by their action uptin the secretory crinlve
hold in check the purgative principle, and induce a
gentle and natural operation, without Inconvenience
or pain, and while they'restorea'natuml and healthy
action of the stomach, liver and bowels, they in
crease instead of diminishing the strength of the pa
tient. The general opinion that's powerful and vio
lent purgative is necessary is founded in error; they
in general irritate the stomach and bowels, derange
. the Secretions, and are productive of very serious
consequences, and it should be knewn that the great
mass of pills in, general use are . cOmposed of the
most powerful and irritating purgatives, and act.with
too great a degree of violence, producing that de
rangement in the system that is followed by con
stigation of the bowels, indigestion anti costiveness.
From these facts the natural inference would be
that to maintain uniform health it is necessary to
correct unhealthy secretions, expel morbid humors
and purify the system, by the use of a medicine that
will act efficiently yet mildly„ assist instead of deL
ranging the organs of the system, and thus, bring na
ture in its proper and healthy channel, to accomplish
which no medicine is superior to the Indian Vegeta
ble Restorative Pills; their operation. is, in ordinary
doses, to promote a natural and easy evacuation and
at the same time by their tonic property impirt vigor
and health to the system, but when a powerful and
speedy operation is necessary, it will be accomplish
ed by increasing the dose, which may be done with
perfect safety, as they are entirely Vegetable.
They have been used as a family medicine for
years by many of the first Teapeetvibility, and altlids
they are not recommended to " heal all the ills
thatflesh is heieto;" yet it has been found very' rare
that it has been found necessary for those using them
to employ any other medicine, and their occasional
use will almost invariably prove an effectual preven
tive to disease. They are exactly adapted to the use
offamilics, travelers and seamen; they cleanse the
blood, causing a free circulation—open the obstruc
tions and promote the Secretions of healthy bile, and
consequently aro an excellent medicine for nausea,
indigestion, nervous disorders, dejection,liver com
plaint, pains in the head, side and • breast, costive
ness, loss ofappotite, urinary obstructions, agile anti
fever, bilious and intermittent fever, dysentery, rheu
matism, scorfula, and are eminently .usoful in all fe;
male complaints—and in one word, all diseases aria.:
log Hom unhealthy secretions and impurity of the
blood. Numerous' testimonials of their efficacy in
particular cases might be added, but the proprietor
prefers presenting a few' certificates of their general
character, from persons of unquestionable candor'
and veracity, who would not inany degree lend their
influence to promote anything that is not of decided
utility, and rely upon their intrinsic merits to gain
them a reputation, feeling a . perfect confidence that
none abandon their use who give them a fair
trial.
Heads of families should always.keop a quantity
of Dr. Osborne's Indian. Vegetable Restorative Pills
in the house; they never fail. For those who are
subject to fits, headache, giddiness, dimness of sight
or drowsiness arising from too, great a flow of blood
to the head, should take theselas in preference to
anything else, as they are a sure remedy.
Females who value good health should never be
without Dr. Oshorneiti Indian Vegetable Restorative

and give the skin' a'beautiful, clear, healthy and be
coming appearance. Ithas been admitted by a num , '
