BY LAST NIGHT'S BIEL NEW YORK ELECTION. We- copy the -following brief recapitulation of results in New. York from the N. Y. Globe. We have,no room for details, nor have we time to hunt them• up if we had room. They are not pleasant to look at, arryhow. When the whole matter is settled, we will publish the returns at length, so that we can refer to them when we come to count gaihs at the net election. The "Whigs will be most disastrously flogged next election; a Mini[ Tux PREDICTION!" In the first place it is probable that John 'Young,- if he lives-long enough, will be our next Governor. It `is probable' that Addison Gardiner will be our next Lieutenant Governor. It is probable that the Whigs *ill elect al majority of the members of Congress, and a majority of the Assembly. It is certain that the Amended Constitution is, ratified; and it is equally certain that the separate Amend ment, extending equal suffrage to the negroes. is lost. It is certain that the amendments to the City Charter are lost Such are the certainties and the probabilities: But, supposing all this precisely-as we have stated, it is certain that the Whigs will be powerless for harmd All attempts to carry out their Federal' doctrines of State Legislation will fail. A PernocraticlSenate will check all errone- I ous legislation—at least they will have the power to do so. The Whigs seldom obtain power in both 1 branches or the State Legisleture and their. Gover. nor too. It is the misfortune of Federalism, and an advantage to the people that the Whigs seldom do obtain complete control, either in this State or the General GovernMent. The celebrated Harri son victory was soon followed by the death of the President, and either;the honest opinions of Tyler or his_ ambition to become the nominee of the Dem-1 ocratic party for the President in 1844 induced! him to abandon many of the measures of the I Whigs., If Democracy behaves itselfit will with an occasional exception, hold the reins of govern ment, both State and National. Although but two and a half yeari have elapsed since these celebrated Pills were first' introduced to the public, the sale of theM in tbm ;- Eastern and middle States has far exceeded Dr.. Clickeners most sanguine expectations. During the punt year, alone, no less than 10.000 gross of boxes 'hale been sold in the State Of Now York, 6,000 iii Pennsylvania, 4,000 in Maryland, 3,000 in New Jets Bey, 2,000 in Delaware, and 9,000 in the New England States, requiring the constant employment of 21 . hands, exclusive el printers and engravers. In the came period, upwards of 200,000 coplea of HIV . , I "Family Doctor', have been ordered by agents. in every sectitin of? the ceuntrv. These 'facts must show, Conclusively, that Dr. elickeiaera Sagas coats ed Pills;besides being thp gory best medicine iia this world, are held in the highest estimation by the publie; We might extend this publication to an indefirof ite length, if we deemed. it expedient to publish alt: torsimonials we have received, not only from nimbi, but individuals and families, who have experienced the benficial..effeets of Clickener's Sugar_ coated. Pills, but we, deem it unnecessary. The most in 7 contestible, evidence of their unprecedented'auecesa, are the numberless Imitations and Counterfeits which have already appeared, notivithstanding the brief pos riod they have been before the public. Ereh. some of our staunchest pill makers have liail the amiaCity. to imitate the Capsule of Sugar, in order to disguise the ingredients of their vile compounds, and palm them off for the "real simon pure ."
