In doing so be feels called upon to say that Indian Vegetable Restorative Pills is deci dedly superior to any with which he is acquainted. They combine the properties of.rnany of the best , vegetable medicines (used in no other pills) in such a manner as to afford not only immediate and tem porary but permanent 'relief The valuable tonic which enters into their cons position,. by their action upon the secretory organs ' hold in check the purgative principle, and induce a gentle and natural operation, without inconvenience or pain, and while they restores natural and healthy 'action of the stomach, liver and boWels, they in crease instead.of diminishing the strength of the pa tient.. The general opinion that a powerful and vio lent purgative is necessary is founded in error; they in general irritate the stomach and bowels, derange the secretions, and are productive of very serious consequences, and it should be known that the great mass of pills in general urn are composed of the most powerful and irritatingpurgatives, and act with too great a degree of violence, producing.that de rangement in the system that is followed by con litigation of the bewels, indigestion and costiveness. From these facts the natural inference world be that to maintain uniform health it is necessary to correct unhealthy secretions, expel morbid humors and purify the system, by the use of a medicine that will act efficiently yet mildly, assist instead of de mnging the organs of tbc system, and thus. bring na- • ture in its proper and healthy channel, to accomplish which no medicine is superior to the:lndian Vegeta. They have been used as a family medicine for years by many of the first' respectability, and [Litho' they are not recommended to "heal all the ills that flesh is heir toe , yetit has been found very rare that it has been found necessary fbr those using them to employ any other medicine, and their occasional use will almost invariably prove an effectual preven tive to disease. Numerous testimonials of their efficacy in particular cases might be added, but the proprietor prefers presenting a few certificates of their general character, from persons of unquestionable cando and veracity, who would not in any degree lend their influence to promote anything that is not of decided utility, and rely upon their intrinsic merits to gain them a reputation, feelifig a perfect confidence that none will abaniten their use who give them a fair trial. Heads of families should always keep a.geantity of Dr. Osborne , s Indian :Vegetable Restorative Pills in the house; they never fail. For those who are subject to fits, headache,' giddiness, dimness of sight or drowsiness arising litho too great a flow of blood to the head, Should take; these pills in preference to anything else; as they are a sore remedy. Females who value good health should never be without Dr. Osborne's Indian Vegetable Restorative Pills, as they purify the blood, remove obstructions, and give the skin a beautiful, clear, healthy and be coming appearance. It tuts been admitted by a num ber of physicians that females cannot too highly value. these pills. Cards, flat Tips The following certificates are from the Rev. Thos. Newman and the Rev. DR. CHRISTIE'S GALVANIC RINGS AND MAG. NETIC FLUID. Tuns remarkable invention, which has received '• 1 the universal approbation of the meditial-prorere. . sion.of Great Britain, comprises as entirely new plication of Galvanism, as a remedial agent, by mean,* of which the ordinary Galvanic Batteries, Electric. and Magnetic Machines, ite., are eatirely dispenied • with, and the mysterious power of Galvanism applied, without any of the objections which are inseparable . from the general mode cow in use. 'The strong dos. ,es, and' irregul at interval°, in which Galvanism la tip • plied by the Machines, has been pronounced, after a fair and impartial trial, to be decidedly injurious, and it was to remedy this radical defect that this new tip. plication was projected, which, alter unceasing toil, and perseverance, has been brought to its present state of perfection. The Galvanic Rings answer all the purposes of the most expensive Machines, and in many other respects are more sole and Certain in accomplishing the desired effect. The Galvanic Rings used in connection with the Magnetic Fluid, are confidently recommended in al/ disorders which arisefrom an enfeebled and unhealthy slate of the nervous or vital system, and these com plaints are among the most painful and universal to . which we arc subject. They.arise, without exception, from ono simple causo—a derangement of the Nerv ous Syatem..-and it was in these cases that other 'remedies , having so often failed, a new agent was greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, has been found in the proper and judieloae application ' of Galvanism. _ • The Galvanic Rings have been need with entire success, in all cases of RfitustAtisri, acute or chronic, applying to the head, face or limb., Gout, Tic-Dole. rens Toothache, Bronchitis, Vertio, Perseus Sick Headache, Indigestion, Paralysis, Palsy,: Epilepsy, Fits, Cramp, Palpitations of the Heart, Aperplezy, Stiffness of Joints, Spinal Complaints, Lumbago, Neuralgia, Nervous Tremors, Dizziness of the Head, pain in the Chest . and Side, General Debility, Dejleittn cy of Nervous and Phytiical Energy, and alt NERV OUS DISORDERS. In cases olcontinned Dyspepsia, • which is simply a nervous derangement of the diges tive organs, they have been found equally successful. Their extraordinary effects upon the system must be witnessed to be believed, and as a certain preventive for the preceding complaints they are equally recent. mended.• The Rings are of different prices, - being made orall sixes, and of various ornamental patternsi• and can be worn by the most delicate female without the slightest inconvenience. In fact, the sensation is agreeable than otherwise. The Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, * Bands, ,Garters, Necklaces, tec. In some cases of a very severe 'character, and of • long standing, the power as applied by the Galvanic Rings is not 'sufficient to arrest the progress of disease and ultimately restore health. The improved modi fication in the Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, &c., entire ly remedies this objection; any degree of power that is required can readily be obtained, and no complaint which the mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect will fail to be permanently relieved. These articles ire adapted to the waists, arms, writits, limbs, ancles, or any part of the body, with perfect convenience. The Galvanic Necklaces are need with greater bene fit in cases of Bronchitis or affections of tli6 throat generally; also in cases of: Nervous,Deafnessf and with almost uniforeCsuccess as a preventive for Apo plexy, Epileptic Fite,. and similar complaints. • Christie's Magnetic vlsitd, is used in -connection with the Galvanic Rings and all their modifications. This composition has been pronounced by the French Chemists to be one of the • most extraordinary discoveries of modern science. It is believed to possess the remarkable power of reit- Bering the nerves sensitive to galvanic action by this means causing a concentration of the influence, at the seat of disease, thus giving rapid and permanent re.. . lief o other composition in chemistry Is knoiva to • produce the same effect, or to impart a similar pro perty to the nervous sj stern, by means of an outward local iipplication. The Magnetic Fluid contains noth ing capable of the slightest injury; its application is agreeable, and it is as harmless in its action as it is !beneficial in its-results. Full explanations and direc tions accompany it. The combined inventionsrue in every•way perfectly harmless; they are sold at prices within the reach of all and the discoverer only re quests a fair trial as a test of their surprising efficacy and permanent benefit. Shey are confidently recommended as a valu able addition in the speedy cure ofßheurnatism, acuto or chronic; in all nervous complaints, and as a post. tire remedy in cases of Pain and Weakness in the Chest or Back, Pain in the Side, in Amalie. Affections, and in Weakness or Oppression of the Pulnwnary Or gars. In Spinal Complaints their effects are of the' most decided character, and they- have often been - used with complete success. They are also of the.. greatestadvantage in Pains and Weakness of the Breast, and are highly recommended tbr many °idiom) complaints to which females are especially liable. As an effectual means for strengthening the system when debilitated with disease or other causes; as a certain aid in - Constitutional Weakness, as a Preventive of Colds, and in all affections of the Chest, generally, the Galvanic Strengthening Platter will be found of great and permanent advantage'. In a few words; it embraces all the virtues 'of tha best tonic preparation, with the important addition of the galvanic influence, • which is neither impaired nor exhausted, while the action continues. !These articles will be found entire, ly free from those objections which' are a constant source of complaint with the ordinary plasters in common use. • f The great celebrity and ounces■ or these arti cles have caused them to be counterfeited by ..nprin cipled persona, .To provide against imposition, Dr. Cmusms has Mit one authbrized agent in each city or the Union..
