By:the arrival of the steamer Aldan frOm Braz os Santiago, ccounts have been r4eiVed from .the ..krrhy to a late date. The Matamoros Flag of 'The 12th contains the following important infOnnation, • Camargo, Sept. - 8,:18l6. I hasten_ to inform you of the arrival, post haste from Saralvo, orCapt. Murray, with information that McCullough's Ran.. e ers had come into Gener al Worth's Camp at Saralvo, and reported that on the-:4th inst., about forty miles beyond Saralvo, they discovered a body of Mexicans, forming the advance guard of a large force. They retreated as the. Rangers came upon them, and were pursued un til they fell back on a large fore, which was discov ered to be from 800 to 1000 strong. We take the following from the regular edition of the Flag olthe 12th inst: In our last paper we stated the advance of the army under Gen. Worth, to be at China: It was at Serilvo, a small town about sixty miles from Monterey. Further reports have reached here as to the number of Mexican troops in Monterey, which puts them at 8000, with aleavy'rulditional force on the march, which it is said will be there before General. Taylor can possibly arrive. The whole force with which Gen. Taylor marches to Monterey will not exceed 7,000. The place is reprAented by the Mexicans to be extremely well fortified, and they are firmly of opinion that the Americans will be whipped. The McKim left Brazos on the IGth. She bro't up 250 sick volunteers and five'or six wounded, of the U. S. regulars,at the battles of the Bth and oth May! The Delta contains a letter dated Point Isabel, Sspt., 16th,•which states that two spies were found in the camp of Camargo, and their guilt was so evident that they were immediately hanged. The letter states also that there was a skirmish between a party of Ainericans bound from Ca margo to Matamoras and some Mexicans, in which some lives were lost. Alse, that Colonel Clarke, commandant of Mata moras:had been shot at while sitting in his room —that in consequence an order was issued to de prive the Mexicans in that town of their arms— that no MexiCans - should leave or enter the town without a written permit from the commandant. In depriving the Mexicans of their arms, new discoveries were made of secreted arms of all de scriptions and amunition. The Americans in the town were held in readiness to repel any attempt of the Mexicans to make an insurrection. Enll..and Winter Dry Goods. A. A. Although but two and a half years have elapsed since these celebrated Pills were first introduced to the public, the sale of them in this Eastern and middle States has far exceeded Dr.' Clickener's most sanguine expectations. During the past year, alone, no less-than 10,000 gross of boxes base been sold in the State of New York, 6,000 in' Pennsylvania, 4,000 in 3larylaiid, 3,000 in New Jer-J soy, 2,000 in Delaware, and 9,000 in the New England States, requiring the constant employment of 27' hands, exclusive ,ol printers and engravers. In the same period, upwards of 200,000 copies of the "Family Doctor' , have been ordered, by agents in' every section of the' ecuntry. These facts must show, conclusively, that Dr. Clickener's Sugar Coat- ed Pills, besides being the very best medicine in the world, are held in , the highest estimation by the public., We might extend this publication' to an indefin , its length, if we deemed it expedient to publish all tersimonials we have received, not only from agents, but individuals and families, who have experienced the benficial effects of Clickener's Sugar Coated Pills, but we deem it unnecessary-. The most in- contestible evidenceof their unprecedented success, are the numberlcis Imitations and Counterfeits which have already appeared, notwithstanding the brief pe riod they have !Men before the public. Even some of our staunehest!pill makers have had the audacity to imitate the Capsule of Sugar, in order to disguise the ingredients of their vile compounds, and palm them off for the Oreal simon pure." COMPLEXION, at this (and, indeed, every other) season, is often zepulsive in appearance, caused; in eight cases out of ten, by the atmosphere; and. what petsmis suppose disease of the blood, is simply a disease of the skin. If some of the thousands who take purgative medicine, pills, and useless Sarsaparilla, were to use on their skin a softening and clearing balm, that opens the pores, whitens the skin, and causesa healthy perspi ration, that, be the skin never' o disfigured, unheal thy, or diseased with pimples or freckles, sunburn, tan and morphew, the true and genuine JONES'S ITALIAN CHEMICAL SOAP never fails to cure and dispel them, and to make. the skin clear and lovely. It acts so mildly and soothingly on the skin, that physicians use it on ladies and infants, in old cases of sou rvy, erysipelas, salt rheum, sore head, ringworm, and it (mind, the genuine Jones' soap) has often effected a cure when every other remedy failed. It is indeed a blessed remedy.
