Black Bass The experiment of stocking the Schuylkill with Bast is a complete success. We hear from difier- j ent points that young bass, the progency of those placed in the Schuylkill, Maxa tawny and Tolpehocken, last May, are quite plenty this Spring. Some have been caught from 7 to 8 inches in length, already good sized fish. It is against law-to catch these fish this year in any manner whatever, under a penally of ten dollars, we believe, for each offence, Reading Journal.' Accident. There is a steam saw mill in full operation in Licking Creek Valley about eight miles above Patterson. A young man named Jacobs was employed to work there. lie had not more than commenced work on Tuesday morning last when his left forearm was caught by the circular taw that he was attending.
