For about fen days past a snspicious
lo.ikiuj: bundle was observed in the
sink of the outbuilding in the rear of the
Court House, by persons who had oc
casion to go to that place ; and yester
day morning, curiosity getting the better
of a couple geutlemen they fished it out

child, of about four months growth,
wrapped in an apron. The news of the
finding of the child spread rapidly, and
the citizens were justly iudiguant at the
outrage committed by the unnatural pa

Five cents each morning a mere trifle.
Thirty-five cents jw-'r week not much ;
vet it would buy coffee and sugar for a
whole family, $18.27 a year and this
amount invested in a savings bank at the
end of a year and the interest thereon at
six per ceuU computed annually, would
in twelve years amount to more than
66SD enough to by a good farm in the
west.
Five cents before breakfast, dinner and
supper; you'd hardly miss it, yet it is
fifteen cents a day $105 a week.
Enough to buy a small library of books,
invest this as before, and in twenty years
you have over SOOO. Quite enough to
buy a good howse and lot.
Ten cents each morning hardly worth
a second tlwugJit ; yet with it you can
buy a paper of pins or a spool of thread.
Seventy cent per week it would buy
several yards of muslin ; 533,50 iu one
year deposit this amount as before, and
you would hare 82 340 in twenty years,
quite a sung little fortune. Ten cents
before each breakfast, dinner and supper
thirty cents a day. It would buy a
