by the Urass Uand. There was a beau
tiful ditpi?y of Cie-woiks, on the bill
above 1'atterscn, counting of one j ack
of squibs, one lloman Candle, aud one
that wasn't Roman. Prof, liolison had
intended sending up a balloon, but on ac
count of some unavoidable circumstance,
lie became so elated that he inflated bim
eelf instead of the balloon, and the con
sequence was the Professor "weut up"
and the balloon didn't. A large number
cf tho citizens attended the pic-nic in the
?rovo belovr Patterson, and had a gay
lime.
