DAVID WILSON, Pres. IIe.miy Titzf.l. Stctjf. Railroad Accident. On Tuesday night last as tie second Stock express train east, with which some coal cars were con nected, was passing between McVeytown and AuJcrsuii's station, the trap door in the bottom of one of the coal cars in which Mr. Henry Willoughby, the con ductor, and a brakeman by tbc name of Ricket, were seated, fell out, precipitating both men to the track killing them in stantly. Mr. W:!louuhby was formerly a 'resident of this county, but lately resided in HarrULurg, where he leaves a wife and three children to mourn an irreparable loss. Mr. Rickert was a single man, and 'we believe a resident of Mount Joy, Lan caster couuty, Pa. The New Light. Years of study, and thousands of dollars, annually, have been spent in experiments of different kinds, in trying to envert a Burner on Lamps, by which Coal Oil could be burn ed practically, without the expense and trouble of chimneys. This long looked for, and desired object has at last been ob tained, and is styled the "Atmospheric Coal Oil Gas Lamp." ' It is adapted to Dwellings, Stores, kc. It gives double the quantity of light of the ordinary 'chimney lamp, with one-third less oil, is 'free from smoke or smell. Thomas W. Dewecs ha purchased the pater.t for Juniata -county, and now offers the lamps forj sale at the Store of Miss Allies Dewecs, in Patterson. We advise our friends to try these lamps, as We have seen them tried and can recommend them. piuThe J un J at a Sentijcet, comes to us now under the editorial management of II. II. Wilson.
