Watson, Wtn. J. Terrell.' In fact every man
who is an official or leader in the party is one
'of those "converted felons" from the Demo
untie party, Gtmeral Grant and Ilartmnft in

left in the party. We noticed the Ring orkan;
did not applaud , the speakers much, this truth
"soured on them." Mr. Ashman opened his
speech by repeating verbatim, Henry Ward

a new jail, in andlor the county, at an ex
pense, to the said county, n' exce ed ing thirty
' live thousand dollars; to • = located upon a site,
selected by the said co missitiners, upon the
lands of the count,trate in the borough of
Montrose, in the said • unty. - •
SecTiox 2. nut the tax of , five mills upon
the dollar of valuation, which the said commis
sioners have caused to be assessed and levied,
fur the purpose of repairing. the present jail, ' m
pursuance of the recommendations of the said
Fraud juries, is hereby legalized and made val

; and the said commissioners rare hereby an
thurized to coll•ict the same, and apply thepro
ceeds thereof to the erection of the new jail, as
