kind of feed, the manner cl i aetting the
milk, and kind of pans or cans. with a
lull description of the manner of making
the butter and the kind of churn and
utensils used. These statements are to be
turnishigl before or on Dec. let, 1874.

L The Committee and Secretary have
an office on the Grounds, where the
Judges are requested to meet at 9 o'clock
on the third day, when their names will
be called, and vacancies filled; and they
will be furnished with the Book of En
try,when they will proceed to decide up
on the merits of the articles and animals
entered for premiums, and report in writ
ing, at 1 o'clock, same day.
2. It is important that all persons ap
pointed on Awarding Committees should
be present at that hour. The Judges can
resort for instructions and to make out
reports to the office.
3. Any animal entered for exhibition
in one class, cannot compete in any other
class, except as one of a herd.
4. The Judges shall in all eases with
hold premiums when the animals or arti
cles are not worthy, though there be no
Competition.

5. Exhibitors wishing to compete for
premiums are requested to have their an
imals or articles entered in the Secretary's
Book before the second day of the. Fair.
No animals or articles can take a premi
um not entered for eomi.etition previous
to the Books going into the hands of the
Judges, and they most be on the grounds
for xhibition by 9 o'clock a. m. of the
third day, or they cannot take a premium.
No ammal or article ean be removed be
ton. the close or the exhibition without
the consent of the Executive Commit
tee.
6. Superintendents 01 the different de
partments will have the animals and ar
ticles systematically arranged. The offi
cers of the Society and Superintendents
will be known by their official badges.
7. No premium will be awarded to any
person exhibiting animals or ar ides not
entered in the name of the Lone fide
owner of the same.

stock over night.
There will be a committee at the en
trance of the Fair (rounds to direct all
persons driving in stock over night.

to the Fair by leaving word with or writ

Judges and Superintendents that are
present in Limo will receive a ticket for
dinner.
Daily Order of Arrangement•
The gate will be opened from 7 o'clock,
a. m., until 5 p. m., each day.
September 16th, first day, there will lie
a free Fair, for the exchange and side of
stock, cattle, horses, etc., to commence at
9 a. m., on the Fair Grounds, and all per
sons are invited Li attend, free of charge.
At 1 p. tu., the plowing math!) will
take place on the farm of J. S. Tarbell.

September .17th, second day, at II a. m.,
a mule race will take place o•r the Fair
Grounds, no man to rule his own mule.
The first premium of 8:1 will be awarded
to the man coming in first, and a second
premium of 83 to the mule coming in
last.
At I p. m., the trial of speed for the
fastest walking horses will take place.
At 2 p. tn., a walking race for men,not
less than five to start,premium of $3. 24
p. m., a running race for moo, not less
than three to start, premium of $3.
September 18, third day, at 10 o'clock
a. m., a grand cavalcade of horses in har
ness will take place on the track. At 106
o'clock, at the call of the Supet intentl , mt
class first. will assemble in front of the
Judges' stand for exhibition and final in.
spection. At 11 o'clock, single and
matched horses. At 11i o'clock, colts.—

There will be no badges or exhibitor?
tickets issued,but all animals and articles

adults, 25 cents will be charged, (except
to life members,) and 15 cents for chit.
