in drifted sections, where the roads arc still
blockaded with snow drifts. Teams in SOlllO

while in others the roads are impassible, and
they arc obliged to go through the fields.
D. J. Retro, of Brooklyn, has accepted the
position.ot principal of the graded school. The
school averted Monday, March 10th. Our grad
ed school has suffered a number of decapita
tions recently. It is to be llop.l for the benefit
of all Interested, that the present incumbent
will not share the fate of itis predecess us. It
is pretty generally conceded, that a little Judi
cious home discipline would hare a salutary ef
fect upon the school.
