It wilt be rementhcfed yet by many, that a
ronier stone was laid by the Masons and cid-

July. 1524. Ebenezer Gcre. Esq., addressed the
Masons on the occasion. The metaltc plate for
use, was furbished by a Mr. Hartshorn,
then living in Montrose. The record put on
this plate at that time, reads as lollows (I will
here say as it may not be generally known, the
same society arc about erecting a new churell
duo n in the village and while removing some of
the fouadatiou stones from the old church, the
plate above sucerred to was also removed, and
found on examination, to have been taken out.

The Democratic voters of Susquehanna

corrupt administration, both state and national.

lung, and the Court House "Ring" at Montrose,
are requesteZ to meet at their respective town
ships and boroughs, between the hours of 3 and
6p. on Saturday, Aug. 81st, at the usual
place of meeting, to elect two delegates to rep
resent them in the County Convention, and one
member to represent them on the County Com
mittee. The county convention will meet at
the Court House, in Montrose, on Monday,
Sept. 2nd, at 2 o'clock, p. m., frr the purpose of
nominating a ticket, to be pre3mited to the in
dependent voters of the county of Susquehan
na, at the ensuing State election.

the sick and suffering, she was always a minis
tering Angel. She was gruitly beloved by her
friends and neighbors, who tuanilasied (luring
her illness, the warmest sympatbrauct respect.
She was buried in the beautiful Cemetery in
West Ilarford, Susquehanna county, l's., by the
side of her darling boy, Frankle, with whom
she is now re-united in a blissful reunion In the
home of the Angels.

There will be no badges or exhibitors' tickets
issued; but all animals and articles entered for
competition free of charge, except hots. For
each admission of adults, 23 cents will he charg
ed,(except to life memiters,) and 15 cents for
children under 19 years es f age. Also, 23 cents
for each admission of double teams, and 15 cents
fur single horses.
