What Wo Says at Montrose.
We were at Montrose on Saturday and Sun
day last. We -accompanied- Mr. Phillips and
were entertained by everybody in a Manner
which was pleasing to all concerned. The court
house was an tittinctivi building, and we were
shown through its capacious halls. We were in
jai! (only on a visit) fora short time. It is built
on a solid rock. ,This jail• boasts of nineteen
cells and one dungeon. The warden has thir
teen boarders—ebliging soB . ol men, who never.
Kay out late of nights. We Were treated with
the utmost urbanity during our stay, and have
made a resolve to again give Montrose a call.
The Susquehanna County Republican Con

Iluisw.. George Lambert- and Birchard will
accept our thanks for their kind entertainment.
