The exhibition of the Pennsylvania State Ag
ricultural Society which occurs at Scranton on
September 19th, 20th, 21st, and 221, promises to
be a display of unusual magnificence. A splen
did collection of native and imported live suiek
will be on exhibition, including horned cattle,
sheep, swine, &c.
One of the prominent features of the fair will
be the grand trials of speed, which are to take
place daily for the largest premiums ever offered
by the society, and we are assured that in this,
as in all the branches of home industry, com
petition will be. remarkably brisk and active.
Arrangements have been eunchlded for the
finest and largest floral display ever shown at
any exhibition of the society, ,'which will in
clude all the rarest and most ta..a atilt/1 varieties
of native and exotic plants,
Liberal terms have been made with the
different Railroad companies, by riltich excnr-
