Lou tor Fire.
On Wednesday, Ananst .2rl, about half-past
one o'clock, ray house was discovered to -be ou
fire, by one of my neighbors, who immediately
gave the alarm, and hastened to the fire to ren
der assistance, with his force of lour hired men.
Water being vccv Jaunty, and plenty - of help
arriving from the other nteighl.ors, we succeed
ed in staying the flames, after -burning nearly
all the north side of the roof, and a portion of
the south side, reaching down through the ceil
ing of the second story, causing serious damage
to my house and a portion of my furniture. I
at once notified the agent, A. W. Stiles. of New
Milford, with whom I was insured, in the " Old
Cleveland Insurance Company." Ilk at once
came and examined the loss and adjusted the
satne,perfectly tatisfactory,l receiving my money
in one week. Such promptness is very rarely
met with, and I would cheerfully recommend
all who have property to insure, to give hint a
call before looking elsewhere, us you will be sure
to meet with prompt and satisfactory adjust
ment. Gs. W. ENTDUT.
