Accidentally Shot.
A for evenings since a uumber of young men
and boys utr-re colletied in front of Tits.orth's
store, discussing the merits of a loaded pistol,
nod while in the hands of Eddie Eldridge it wa,,
accidentally discharged, the bullet past•ing thro
the thigh of Frank Eing. The wound is not
dangerous; as the bone is uninjured, but the en
rape was a narrow one.
quarterly Meeting
The last Quarterly Meeting of the M.
E. Church for this Conference year, - will
be held at Montrose On Saturday and Sun
day, Jan. 15th and I(ith. The services are
to commence on Saturday at 2p. in. It
is expected that the Presiding Elder will
be present to officiate.

Moscow Post Office Robbed.
On Christmas morning the post Mac at Mos
cow was entered by burglars and Department
money to the amount of about $OO taken, be
money from letters amounting to about
$7O. Three persons were arrested, named S. A_
Halstead, Wm. H. Yeager and C. M. Simpson.
The two latter confessed the robbery, and im
plicated a mart named Spencer.—Jim:AAA. Her

of South Gibs2p, together with its entire con
tents, was destroyed by on Thursday morn
ing 'bst. It was_ nsured, we understand for
PM, which was promptly arranged, and a
new building is to be erected.
—There was also a fire at Busty:lel:turns Depot
on Thursday evening, dtstroying tiro buildings,
and hunting the roof off Joseph Allen's saloon,
and destroying the contents. 11 is reported that
Insurance was sufficient to cover the loss.
