The building, situate in Liberty town
ship, owned by J,.hrt W. ot George M.
Fisk, and occupied by them as a saw mill,
lath mill, turniniz, lathe, and wagon shop,
....as totally- destroyed by fire on Tuesday
list. The fire orifzinated from a stove
p;pe. The loss is estimated at $2500.
No insurance.

made on Wednesday night by a couple of
negroes to ussassiniate Chas. Began, near
Catanana Springs, eight miles from Gal•
satin. lie was felled by a stroke from an
axe, but aid coming, the negroes ran off
and he escaped.
