RULES AND REGULATIONS
1, Examination will open 4.9 in.
2, Applicants will not be admitted after
the class has been examined in the first
branch.
-3, APATiplicants will be examined in
two kitilitional branches—History of
United States and Theory of Teaching.
4, Provisional Certificates, only, will
granted at these examinations.
5, The examinations will -be thorough
and practical.
6, Applicants will supply themselves
with two sheets of foolscap, pen, pencil,
ink, and Fifth Reader.
7, Institutes for the instruction of teach
ers will be held at City School House,
October Ilth, Dimock Academy, October
19th, Little Meadows, November Ist.
A lull attendance is looked for.
SPECIAL SERIES.
Special examinations will be held at
Great Bend Nov. 16th, Hopbottom Nov.
19th, .Montrose Nov. 20th, Rush, Gran
ger's, Nov. 21st, Forest Lake, Nov. 22d,
.Tackson Corners Nov. 26th, Lenoxville
Nov. 28th. After which no examination
be held. Teachers will be examined
: .at the special examinations upon this con
dition : that they are already employed
and present a written request and an ex
cuse for not attending the regular series,
signed by at least three directors.
It is hoped that Boards will be fully
represented at each examination, as there
will be a good opportunity to employ
teachers, and important business will be
brought before them.
Teqchers should in all cases be supplied
with h fire cent revenue stamp.

1. This Dasher is superior to any other, by being as
simple as the old Dasher, and combining the atmos
pheric principles therewith, and the Butter Gatherer
e. It is superior to all others, inasmuch •s the same
power applied to this in like mechanical operations
will make one fourth more reciprocations.
3. It Is superior to all others, inasmuch as it produ
ces the Butter in a much starter time.
4. It is superior to any other, inasmuch as It produ
ces a much better quality of Butter.
5. It is superior to any other Patent Churn, lime
much as it is 500 per cent. cheaper than any other.
it is well known to Dairymen and others, that Butter
Is contained in minute globules or sacks, coveted with
a membrane, and requires the action of air to prepare
the covering to be removed by friction. The Scientific
American says :
"If cream Is dashed against a hard substance, or
mashed between bare or rollers, it breaks the g lobul es
and becomes oily, by destro)ing tho grain. It should
he thrown Into currents and counter currents
by the action of air. causing a friction by the action of
the currents against each other, removing the covering
without breaking or hurstivg, the globules."
This is the principle which theinventor of this Dash
endeavored to keep in view, and the resu t sO.ws a
much larger yield of Butter obtained In lees time than
by any other Dasher.
Experiments have proven that anv other method ex
cept pumping air through the cream. will not penetrate
sufficiently to oxygenize all the globulespreparttori to
concentrating the Butter Throwing it into tile air icy
clappers or old fashioned Dashers. does not sufficiently
expose It to the air to bring out the Butter.
The above Patent Dasher has been purchased for Sns
quehnnna County by the undersigned. The process of
churning, can he seen at any time, in a Glass Churn, at
Baldwin, Allen & llcCain's store. An agent will can
vass the county soon as potsibie, to sell the Dasher
for individual rights; also township rights will be
sold.
