Donation Patty. '
A Donation party will be held at the
house of G. N. Allen, South Bridgewater,
on Thursday, Jan. 31, for the benefit of
Mrs. Moran, widow of John Moran, who
wAs . killed y a saw, while sawing wood,
leaving in very destitute circumstances a
widow and' five small children. The fam
ily are now really suffering for the neces
saries of life, and it has-been decided to
take this means for their relief. Old
folks in the afternoon ; young folks in ti.e
evening. Those who prefer are invited'
to bring clothing, grain, potatoes &c., it:-
stead of money.

We learn that on Saturday, 19:h, vbile-1
Mr. Orson Payne, residing about' five
miles from New Milford, was at, work in
his stable, he was kicked on the head by
one of his horses, and lived but a few mo
ments after. The horse was newly shod,
and Payne's skull was badly shattered by
the corks of the shoe.—Penasylvamiaii.
