Another Railroad Charter.
A has passed both branches of our
S:a:e Legislature, entitled a supple
mein to an act incorporating the " North
urn' Coai and Iron Company," chartering
a road to run from Carbondale to Lanes
.ro by way of Starucca, or to the Dela
ware near Hancock, through the northern
part of Wayne county. It is not known
which route will be chosen ; but as the
charter is in good hands, the road will un
doubtedly ire built. -It is designed to
connect with the Albany and Susquehan
na R. R., or the branch running to Han
cock, and will release the Jeffeison R. R.
Company from building that part of their
road between Starucca and Lanesboro
and to Carbondale.

entific acquirements, and of skill and ex
perience in the art. of Teacbing, as Coun
ty Superintendent for three succeeding
years; determine the amount of compen

result to the State Superintendent at

The Morning train from New York connects at Ma
nunka Chunk with the train leaving Ptillad'a(Kensing
ton depot) at 7,30 a. in., and at Greatßend with through
mail train on the Erie Railway, with sleeping car at
tached, stopping at all the principal stations on that
road, and arriving at Buffalo at 6,10 a. in.
The Evening train from New York connects at Ma
nunka Chunk with the train leaving Philadelphia (Ken
sington depot) at 3,30 p. m.; at Great Bend with Night
Express on the Erie Railway west, arriving tt Banal()
at 1,45 p. m.
Eastward.
The Horning train from Great Bend connects there
with the Cincinnati Express on the Erie Railway from
the west ; at Mantufka Chunk with a train for Philad'a
and intermediate stations, arriving in Philadelphia at
6.30 p. m.; and at New Hampton with a train for Easton
Bethlehem, Allentown, Reading and Harrisburg, arriv
at Harrisburg at 8.80 p. in.
The Evening train from Great Bend connects there
with the New York Express on the Erie Railway from
the west; at Manunka Chunk with a train which runs
to Belvidere, where it lies over until 6 o'clock next
morning; and at New Hampton with an Express train
for Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown, Reading and Har
risburg.
At Scranton. conned ions are made with trains on the
Lackawanna apd Bloomsburg R.R. tn and from Pittston
Kingston, Wilkesbarre, Berwick, Bloom shorg,Danville,
Northumberland, Harrisburg and intermediate stations,
and with trains on the Delaware and Hudson Railroad
o and from Carbondale and Intermediate stations.
