Bank Robbery.
On Friday night last the banking house
of Chase, Chandler it Co., of Great Bend,
was entered by some one through the
window, leading into the back part of the
building, used as a printing office; and a
sack of pennies that happened to be left
out. of the safe, about $1 worth of postage
stamps, and some change from the draw
er of the 'News Office, on the other side
of the building were taken. • Whoever it'
was, found that the treasures supposed to
be in a bank, are not so easily accessible,

that Charles Atwater, Esq., Postmaster
at Rushville, Susquehanna county, died
suddenly at his residence on Saturday
