Supper to Cortiptuty D.
On Tuesday evenino• last, an Oyster
Supper was:given to Co. D, both P.V.V.,
at the Keystone Lintel, by cot. C. M.
Gera.. Notwithstanding the storm, there
was a good attendattee, and when supper
was announced, the tables in the eat
ing hall, were filled by meinbers of the
company andfrienda. After oysters, &c.
were disposed of calls were made upon
Capt. Ditneek and a number of others for
epeeeben, but these_ seemed to he a - general
desire to pass the evening socially rather
than in spenil -Making, and the responses
were mostly witticisms, apologies and
toasts.
After the everting had-been pleasantly
passed in social converse, the guests sep
arated, mutually satisfied with each other,
their host, and the occasion.
'Another Snpper was given to the Co., at
Searle!_s; . on Saturday evening last, by L.
Rosenbaum, and rumor has it that it is
not to be the.last. Verily the veterans
will have cause to long remember their
furlough. .
