for cultivation. of which we have some strong proof. 1
Our first visit Wits to William I). Wilson, Pranklin'
township. Gloucester county, who purchased some eight
miles north of Ai ilville, about three years ago, for the
purpose of establishing:l steam mill, to work up the tint
i beer too lumber, to send off by the new railroad, as *ell
I as the firewood and coal, for which he built a track a
mile and a half long. Ile also furnished sixteen miles of
the road x hith ties, and had no doubt made the mill
profitable; though his Main object was to: open a farm,

of cropping. 206 beshels of potatoes on one acre, 'worth
