HELPER'S IMPENDING CRISIS.
BY GU .BEET J. BEEBE.
mons PAMPHLET, consisting of 64 double colnnin
-1 pages. was originally pub) ished -pen dlngthe political
emvass of iSI6O. The *. Impending Crisis; ,
is a compi
lation of all the sophism& and malicious doctrines by
which the public mind of the North had been so far pois
oned al to praline the triumph of the Presidential can
didate of the sectional party last Call. It was 'widely cif ,
ciliated gratniton sty. by Means of large coutribntions of
money. and did canrothan any other thing to deceive the
masses of our people.. In this Reriew andikfutation. we
take up each of Its chapter separately. and every impor
tant assumption in detail, sold refute them so completely
that no Intelligent person can read the pamphlet without
being convinced of the falsity of all the wicked assemp.
dons of the Helper book and of the folly of the sectional
strife which has culminated In civil war. As there le no
probability that peace will be permanently 'restored to
oar distracted land until the public mind at the North is
disabused ofits erroneous impressions mature to the true
character of our Southern siste r States, most of whom are
.now in rebellion against our general government, as rhe
remit cattle triumph of sectional fanaticism both North
end South,--lt becomes the dotyof all true patriots to.do
all in their power to remove unjust prejudices between
the North and South, and therein probably no more effic
ient means of accomplishing this result, than by general
circulation of 'our Refutation of Helper. It contains a
large amount of valuable statistics—worth. for occasional
reference, several times the price of the pamphlet, to all
intelligent citizens. Price I cent. , per copy, or $2 per
dozen—sent by malt, postage prepaid.
