HOSTETTER'S
STOMACH BITTERS.
The proprietors nut manufacturers of HOS:
TETTER'S CELEBRATED -STOMACH BIT
TERS can appeal with perfect confidence to
physicians and' citizens generally of the United
States, because the article Las attained a repu
tation heretofore unknown.
_A few (nett upon
this point will speak more powerfully than
volumes of bare assertion or blazoningpuffery.
The consumption of Hostetter's Stomach Bit
ters for the last year amounted to over n half
million million bottles, and from its manifest steady
increase in times pact, it is evident that during
'the coming•year the consumption will reach
near one million bot ties. This immense amount
could never have been sold but for the:rare
medicinal properties contained' in the prepara
tion.,nter the sanction of the most'protninent
physicians in -those sections of the country
Where the :tittle Is best known, who not only
recommend the Bitters to their 'patients, but
are ready at all times to give testimonials to its
efficacy in all easel of stomachic derangements
and the diseases resulting therefrom. •
4This is nnt a temporary-popularity , obtained
• by extraordinary effortsin thowai of trum
peting the qualities of the Bitters, Litt a solid
estimation of an invaluable medicine, , which is
destined to be ns enduring as time itself.
.Ilostetter's Stomach Bitters have proved
a Godsend to regions where fever and ague
and various other bilious complaints have
counted their victims by hundreds. To be
able to state - confidently that
,the "Bitters"
arc a certain cure for the Dyspepsia and like
diseases, is to-the proprietors a source of un
alloyed pleasure. It temovestarmorbid matter
from the stomach,-purifies the blood, and
impartsrenewed vitality to the nervous system,
giving it that tone .and energy indispensable
for the restoration of ,henlat. It, operates upon
the 'stomach, liver, and other digestive - organs,
mildly but powerfully, and soon resfores them
to,a condition essential to the - he:Lb by discharge
of the functions of nature.
Elderly persons may use the Bitters daily as
per directions on the bottle, and they will fink_
in it a stimulant peculiarly adapted to comfort
declining years, as it is pleasant to the palate,
Invigorating to the boiiels, excellent as a tonic,
and rejuvenating generally. We have the evi
dence of thOusands 'of aged Men and womt,
who have experienced the benefit of using this f
suffering from stomach de- i
rangements and general debility; acting under
the advice of physicia:M.,,t hey have . abandoned
all, deleterious drugs and fairly tested •the
merits of this article. A few words' to the ;
gentler sex. There are certain periods when .1
their cares are's° harassing that ntanyef them
'sink under the trial. The relation of mother 1
and child is so absorbingly tender, that the
mother, especially if Ate be young, is apt to
forget-her own health, in Ler extreme anxiety I
'for bor infant. Should the period of maternity
nrrive during the summer season, the wedr of 1
body and mind is generally aggravated: Here,
then,.-is a necessity for a stimulant to recupe- ,
rate the energies of the system, and enable the t,
mother to hear up under her exhausting trials.]
and responsibilities. -Nursing mothers gesle
rally prefer the Bitters to all other invigora
tors that receive. the • endorsement of-.physi
cians, because ills agreeable to the 'taste as.
'well as certain to give a permanent:increase
of bodily strength: -
•
All thoSe persons, to wham we have particu
larly referred above, to wit: sufferers from I
fever and ague, caused by malaria,: diarrhea, I
dyientery, indigestion, loss of appetite;and
all disease§ or derangements of. the stomach, .
'superannuated invalids,- persons of sedentary
occupation, and nursing mothers, will consult
their own physical welfare.by giving to Hoe ! .
