Ii 4r WILLIAM ROSS, in the frith year of his

ro. Ross was born .in Susquehanna county,
Penn., In the year 1794, and was converted and
joined the M. E. Church in the twentieth -year,
of his age, and was a consistent and worthy
member until he was removed to the church
triumphant. Ile emigrated. to Illinois in the
year 1845, and .settled near 3lazon, where.he
loured the church of hid choice. For the lne't
few years of his life he was a-worthy and effi
cieot steward of.the same. The disease of which
he died was protracted, yet he was patient and
resigned to the willo ; 4 the Lord. When asked
if he should not ii4to get well , he said that -if
it was the will of c d hh should like to be
spared s little-longer: that he might have 'no op.
portnnity of farther: paefulness in the church,
but all his desires were expresied in submision
to the Divine will. As ho drew :Dear his last
his sufferings were'great, but through grace he
was enabled to bear theth patiently, and in his
Last moments to shout the high praises of God,
and die with "Gnu" on his tips. In the death

efficient stewar , and his Companion a kind hos.
