A- ND be it further ordained, That hereafter on

within .the Borough, a tax. Of Fifty cents, and up
on every.slut so owned or kept in the. Borough
as aforesaid, a tax of Two Dollars; shall be paid
by the person or persons so owning or keeping ,
said dOg or slut. And it shall be the duty of the
owner or owners, keeper or kepers, of 'each- and
