,k.Oaksrojtb, of New York. Master, arrived at
t h a t port on the-9th of At6'ost, from the coast
of Africa, where she had a most perilous and
thrilling adventure with savages on the river
Congo. , She was bound into the river, with a
valuable cargo front Rio Janciro,% and, on
rounding Shark Point, unfortunately got a.

plunder the vessel, and, in the course of
the day, their numbers auntnated to some
three thousand. They made a furious and
