county, township or district 'within this Com
monwealth, whenever called upon, by an rtlE.)

which shall be obstructed in skin a way as to

Also that in the 4th - section of the, Act: of
Assembly; entitled " An: Act relating t o execu
tions and for other purposes" approved April
16th, 1840,it is enacted that the afer - esdid 13th

any militia officer or borough officer from
serving as Judge, Inspector or Clerk at - any
general or special Election in this Common
wealth."
Pursuant to the provisions contained in the
76th section of the net aforesaid, the 'Judges
of the aforesaid district shall respectively take
charge of the certi fi cate or return of the elec
tion of their respectiie distriets,'and produce
them at a meeting of one Judge from each
district at the Court House in the Borough of
Montrose, on the third day after the day of
election, being the present year on Friday the
15th day of Oetriber next, then and there to
do and perform the duties required.by law-of
said Judges. Also that where t(Judge by
sickness Or unavoidable accident is unable to
attend said meeting of lodges, then the certif.
