moved that Gen. LEWIS CASS, be the choice
of this Convention for the Presidency: Judge
Warner moved as an amendment, that the
game. of Lewis Cass be stricken out, and
JAMES BUCHANAN i sorted. Col. Lusk
after remarks moved as a substitute that W.
1. Miner be the choice of this Convention.—
Lost. He then moved as a substitute that

their choice for the Presidency. Carried. The

tion of a Representative Delegate, to the next

the court, and when,they bad made their
appearance at thin door they were-met with
loud cheers; and attended for some distance
by a 'avid crowd •of friends, who took that
mode of testifying their sympathy for Mr.
Forrest. , -
Mrs, Forrest-had not yet left the , build
ing-. The crowd Was still large a.:.d kept
increasing. After some twenty minutes
delay,it was deemed best to leave, there be
