An account of their reception by the citizens was given In last weeks ReimMican. In order to afford them an op portunity of meeting with their friends and sweet hearts „in social converse and enjoyment, the pro prietor of the Keystone Hotel gave them n party on Wednesday eve last, at which time the house was filled with the surviving members of the Company and their ladies, and a number of returned soldiers from -other organizations. Of late years dancing parties have fallen into diaropute, on account of the dissipation attending them. A. a general rule, to bear of a ball was to hear of a tight, and the most orderly and respectable portion of our community kept aloof from them. But the ball at' the Keystone was an exception, and could all parties be on a par with it dancing would be more reputable, and the. real respectable citizens would have less objection to their daughters attending them. The party was of the highest respectability—for they were principally returned soldiers—and who as worthy as they? No drunkenness or disturbance of any description mar red the occasion, and good-feeling and orderly en joyment reigned throughout the night. Nothing else could i.e expected where the guests were re turned soldiers, and the giver of the patty Carey of the Keystone. A more affable and obliging host never lived, and the soldiers desire thus publicly to xpress their acknowledgments for the manner in which all their wants were attended to by him and his corps of assistants. About midnight the gentle men scolded their ladies to the dining room, where was spread an excellent supper composed of all the obtainable delicacies of the season. After supper the hull room way again sought, and the festivities continued until clearly dawn.
