BE it ordained by the Town Council , of the Ber
ough of Montrose, and it is hereby ordained by
the autherity.of the same, That it shall not be law
ful for horse's, • neat-cattle,':.swine, sheep,. geese, or
other esticated animate, of a mischievous nature,
to go at large in the said Borough, and it any such
animals shall be found at large within the limits of 1
..said Borough, it shall be the duty of the High Con
stable, forthwith, to impound the same ; or if any of
the said , nnimals shall be found in any lot or close, it
shall be, the duty of the High Constable at the re
tinest of the owner 'or occupant of said close, testake
up.and impomid the,aamei, Provided, That between
the 15th •day of April and the 15th day of November,
in each year, it shall be lawful -for COWS to i'un at
