Mr. Editor: While the dailv col

are not forgotten.
Thursday the 19th of January, 1883.
will long be remembered by the family
and friends of Mr. John Felker and
bis amiable wife a daughter of Abra

county, To. On this day they had the
pleasure of giving their daughter Mol

of near McClure. The Rev. D, M.
Stetler performing the ceremony at
the houw of the happy bride.
The relatives and friends assembled
themselves at an early hour, anxious
to see and hear tho ceremony. The
pastor arriving at ten thought the
hour rather early, but to his astonish.
inent found the house filled with
guests; under these circumstances no
time could be lost, and In a short time
the happy couple were pronounced
"man and wife," to tho entire satis
faction of all present: congratulations
and presents were not wanting to the
happy couple. The rattling of tllnhes,
in an adjoining room, and the hum of
voices, soon revealed the secret, that
the inner man needed nourishment.
Imagine our surprise to ilnd a table
with sufficient room for thlrtv tiersonn.
filled to the utmost with the good
things of life. We could not begin to
describe the bounteous repast; the
marriage feat in Cana of (Inllil,.

partook freely of the g()0-l thhij-s set
before them. Hardly had the truest
surrounded the llrnt table when the
sound of music reached their ear,
what could be cuine of those musical
strains: "The band, the band."
sounded from tho lips of all. The
doors were flung open, and there stood
t he M dure baud serenading tho young
couple. This baud has been nruul.
nd about one year ago and under the
ollieleut leadership of Mr. F. Lohr,
have been very HiiecesKfiil. The effect

few Instances a whirling of the lower
hubs. The band is composed of I?
young men of M'Clure, ami are doin
verywell for the short time of their
existence. We wish them all success,
ami many mure such joyous occiiHlon.
VII present were highly plensed and
delighted, and returned at a good
hour to their respective homes. Mtiv
