This community was terribly shock
ed this afternoon to hear that Hen.
Hoover, a boy 6f 14 years, had shot
his sister Lottie, aged about 17. The
Hoover family live In a pretty farm
house, about tliree miles from this
place, nestled among the hills on the
road from this place to Bnydertown.
The father is dead, and the widow,
Mr. Hoover, lives with her family of
eight children on the homestead.
Years ago Mr. Hoover established n
dairy on his farm, and the business Is
still carried on by hi old st son, Reu
ben. There are three boy aud live
girls. Reuben and one of the girls
were In Htinbury when the sml trag
edy took ploco. At the dinner table
an altercation took place between
