glars were more fortunato. By the
useofthoir chisels thoy forced Open
the liquor case, taking therefrom two
bottles of liquor and a box of cigars,
the money drawer was next broken
onon. and about $2.50 in moncv taken.

M'Clintock, were taken therefrom.
Eighteen dollars in currency, lying in
the case under tne drawer, was not
seen by the thieve. The .Harper

Mrs. A. ekes, on Walnut streot, .and
the bolts wreuebed, and had not some
thing disturbed the rascals they would
nave aucoeeaea in a very snort tune.

was tried; but Matthew Thompson,
who sleeps la the saloon, frightened
