the head. Do this everyday for a week
or so, and then occasionally till the
dandruff is removed. Refined borax
can be obtained of any druggist..

Hair Drtttina. -Sage tea Is one of tho
very best washings and dressings for
the hair. The hair should be careful
ly brushed and braidod in two firm
braids, then the roots rubbed with a
sponge dippod in lake-warm sago tea.
After which the braids can bo washed
with a towel. This preserves the color
of the hair and keep thoscalp cloan.
WhitewaA. .-There is no more health
ful modes of cleaning stables, And
shods, than to give them a coat of hot
lime wash. An easy mode - of doing
this, is to make a barrel of the wash
by slacking a bushel of fresh lime in a
pork or other tight barrol, with only
enough water to make a thick paste.
When the lime is thoroughly slacked,
till up with boiling wator, and let it
stand six hours. Then tako one of tbe

epatUr the walls with the wash until
every oorner is oovered. The lime that
tills upon the floor will not be wasted,
it may help to sweeten the place.
